When I'm trying to browse my ressources, I have nothing listed when I set it to "view as list". It is as if I had no ressources in the file. They reapear in "thumb" mode... Any idea why it does that?????

I'm using VW12.5 Landmark and Architect, I have seen a function called "detail bubble" in machine design, it looks great as it can make buble for detail with record attach and list generated as worksheet. Is is possible to make something like that with tools in Arch and Land?

Well I couldn't resist so I took the risk and went over the installation procedure, it all went smooth and fine. took me 20 min for the download and 10 to install... Will order de dvd nevertheless for security. so...seems ok for me

WOOH? I've been in my neck of the wood for a while, and only realize today that the so much awaited 12.5 is there! I jumped of happyness, and started to download it straight on. Meantime i'm reading the post; trying to catch up! Is this problem still up to date; should I order the dvd rather than updating over the net?

HOURRAHH!!! I've found it : Thinking about dual platform. I just thought that I could test it on another PC. So did I. an on the other PC it worked... Then I opened the file in my computer and it reads : =IF((A1=6); A1; 0) if I use ; instead of , it works.

BTW, is anybody working on PC? Could that be the problem? Is there anyone who has dual platforms and could test this?

This is indeed very bizarre, I've sent the file to techsupport, I'll tell you what they say. I've tested with or without spaces : the result is the same. I have no space before the = sign... See (no spaces on the left, spaces on the right: As for the AREA formula, CCROFT's proposal alas does not work. The result is in B3. I've got a true/false value in C3 by entering the formula =AREA(AREA>0) I'll send that want to techsupport as well... Will let you know

Hi Raymond, sorry, I mistyped, I did put an equal sign. When I enter "=if((A1=7), A1, 0" in B1, it writes "=if((A1=7), A1, 0" in the cell. It does not treat it as a function... Also, if I make a data base listing e.g. all the rectangles of the drawing, if I enter =Area, it returns the area of each listed rectangle, but if I ask for =Area(B1>100), it does not return (as I expected) the area of the corresponding rectangle if B1 is superior to 100, but it does return "true" or "false" according to whether or not my condition is fullfiled...

Hi, I'm trying to use an "If(logical_test,value_if_true,value_if_false)" function in a worksheet. I refer to the syntax of the manual, so I've got for example : value 7 in cell A1 value "if((A1=7),A1,0")in cell B1 I expect to get 7 as a result in B1 yet I only get my formula recopied... I don't get it... Any clue?

According to my experience I would say : Beware of the new VW12 windows and doors. They are not very trustfull in terms of dimensions on schedule. i.e, insert a door in a wall, generate schedule. Copy that wall into another wall with different width => the schedule won't give the correct dimensions for the frame but the data of the first wall... many other unexpected strange behaviours (see my previous post) ... I would recommend to double check the use of those when generating automatic schedule.I ended up drawing symbols and attaching my own records - alas suppressing the flexibility of the PIO - for all doors and windows that need to be on schedule. Looking forward to 12.1

Hmm... Yeah! Doors... Windows... Big bugs...!!!Apparently not even possible to draw wall lines while using doors PIO anymore... yet VW12 will be REEAALLLLY cool once these "little" troubles out of the way...

Hi, I've found the file in VW11.5 folder. I copied it in VW12, but it does not work. Is there something I should do to have it compiled? Is this possible?

Hi, Alas I haven't seen any "VWPluginLibraryRoutines.p" ins my "Plug-ins" folder. I've run a research on the entire VW folder. It doesn't appear. I have VW12. Is it likely that the function has been suppressed? Is there a way to add it? Many Thanks

i've done a worsheet that list all the polygon, polylines and rectangle of a drawing, i'd like to add a column that would list next to each poly whether it is closed or not. Is there a simple criteria to enter?

but then, how do you guys do it? wall lines indication where really usefull not only for doors but also for case openings...

I tried to use the Task Manager without much success. I started with VW11.5 so that can explain. I was advised by Robert to use the auto classing. Now I'm under VW12. I use mostly auto-classing and use class attribute by creation. I'm happy with it.

Check that you're in top/plan view, not in top view.

In doors plug in in VW11.5, there was a box that could be check so to have the wall lines drawn... I can't find it anymore in the new VW12... Anybody know how I should do to have the wall lines appear?

Hi RV, Thank you. Alas for me, I started VW with 11.5 and didn't really got the time to completely go in when VW12 was released. We did the upgrade... and here am I. So it's not really as if I had a base to convert... Best.
