    You could do test print by asking the printer retailer to dowload the vectorworks viewer off the web site (therefore no need to use laptop) and take along a typical drawing file. Try before you buy is a good idea.

    This may be too late, but if you draw with "overlay" transparent layers you may want to check that these actually print out. If you have bought the new A3 printer and it does print transparent layers ok - what make and model is it? thanks
