I have 512 mgb of ram, which I thought would suffice. Do you think that's light?

I am having trouble printing out model shots on my Epson 1280. I am using OS 10.3.8 & Vectorworks 10.0.1. Some views print well, but the more detailed ones crash. I thought I should increase the memory partition in VW but founf I can't do that through the "get info" menue any more. Any ideas about printing large files?

I just upgraded to OSX and want to plot to my 488CA. I downloaded gimp print, what else do I need to do to plot?
