Hey Pat! Yes I am seeing different grid snap settings across the files. You are certainly headed in the right direction. However once I have created the first ConnectCAD object in a file changing the grid settings does not change how additional objects are drawn, it seems to lock to a scale... somewhere which I am curious to find out. So does this make cross file collaboration impossible unless similar grid settings were used at the conception of the ConnectCAD objects? Saving them to the database would help solve this issue. I just haven't been able to get my customization such as extra width and images to stick.

Hello! I have had issues copying my ConnectCAD assets across different documents and have realized it's because of what (if any) template I use. Dropping in a Barco_PDS 902 for example generates the following widths: 8" In blank 4' In Spotlight template 2" in ConnectCad template Files are attached. Can anyone provide insight or a fix here? And yes @Peter Telleman I agree we should still be able to adjust the "height relative to" section... It's all greyed out now!

I am having a similar issue with curtain soft goods and truss. Truss converted to hanging position bottom trim 21'. When I draw a 1' truss border it snaps to the correct height 21'. No problem. When I draw a curtain it snaps to the negative height of the curtain itself so effectively 0 top trim. Seems like a simple programming error. VWX file attached. Z height cannot be changed for either curtain or truss border. I guess for now I can pretend my curtains are really long truss borders but thats not great either. TrussDrapeIssue.vwx

Updated to macOS 15 and no issues so far!!

I just updated to 14.7 and am still having the severe lagging issue. Sometimes its a bit of a studder so maybe a slight improvement? Any luck with macOS 15? M3 Max 128gb Now on VW25

Thanks for taking a look Mark. I think I just sort of resolved the issue. The light emitters do show up when I am on a design layer and running any renderworks. However when I shift to a sheetlayer and renderworks camera they are no longer visible. So I guess that's just how they behave. and re-reading your response a 3rd time I see what you are now saying haha. Thank you!!

Hello, I added some 3d Loci and assigned them as light emitters to give my strip light a nice even wash. Only issue is the light emitters are rendering in renderworks along with the light. I assigned them to the NonPlot-Loci class within the fixture to no avail. Does anyone have insight on this? I followed this video https://university.vectorworks.net/mod/page/view.php?id=1180 Thanks! Hey @BartHays thanks for checking my file! I restarted and still the same issue. Very odd and my other files are working ok. Hopefully someone else is willing to take a look as well. I am on 2024 Update 4.1. Meanwhile I tried a new file and used some older fixtures (Diablo) and they work in Renderworks but this ETC Source 4 LED Series 3 Lustr X8 seems to have issues with renderworks. Hello! I am trying to title a series of video inputs on my signal diagram and don't want to manually enter each name. I have imported a reference excel and am unable to find any way to display an entry (for example testexcel::A1) as the contents of a text object. Can you reference regular internal worksheets in text objects? What is the syntax for this? Do I need to create some sort of data tag? Thank you!

I figured it out! I had saved views to navigate between my show file and the schematics page... As I created the new LAN and USB connections they were not included in the saved view. Resolved 😆

Also is happening with custom LAN RJ45 to LAN RJ45 connections as well. I did create a fresh document and these issues are not present... curious how I can fix this in my real show file. Thx!

Hello. I have two custom built devices. One is an Anker USB-C Hub and the other is a Streamdeck XL. When I begin to draw a connection from one of the USB ports I cannot see the line as I click along. If I connect it with a non-USB port the line then appears. If I go USB to USB it disappears. Interestingly when I move the device around I do see cable reshaping and following along but disappears again when I stop moving the device around.

Hello, I want to create a symbol chair that has a person seated in it. Everything gets created ok but once I swap out the chairs in the seating section the boundary box of my new symbol throws everything off... how do I set a custom bounding box so that it matches the previous symbol chair? That way I can swap out as needed without affecting the seating section... thx!
