  1. Hi, I keep getting the following message below when importing a DWG. We work off a server, which we found amplifies the issue, so we save the VWX file and DWG onto my MacBook for this process. I import the DWG into VWX, I then get this message and VWX crashes. I then have to reopen VWX which takes an eternity, reopen the VWX file and re-do the import - it works. Happens with every drawing I need to import? Anyone else getting this? Any suggestions on how to fix this? Aiden
  2. I regularly come across this issue, particularly if rigging is not level (at an angle - for example truss is at a 10 degree rotation). The way I combat this is by removing all 2D geometry in the symbol and leaving it as 3D.
  3. No, I didn't use a saved set. The field I want to use "Channel Number" is selected/highlighted when I did this. Unsure how to fix this issue - only happens in certain drawings.
  4. Hi, I'm having an issue where I go to channel number lighting symbols using the Spotlight Numbering Tool. Far too often I go to channel number lights using this tool and it doesn't work. Some drawings its fine, others it doesnt work. I tick the Channel Number box and insert all the correct information. I click on each light which highlights red. No channel number information is recorded/retained by the lighting symbol. If I manually select each light and in the OIP put in a channel number it works. Is there something wrong with this tool?
  5. Hi all, Wondering if anyone can help. This is a continuation of "Viewport Display" troubleshooting topic on here. I'm having an issue where the viewport is not displaying any content. However, when I zoom in or out it briefly shows before disappearing. When I export to PDF it shows stuff in the viewport. Is this a bug, it is very frustrating. Would appreciate any help about how to fix this, Aiden
  6. I have found the solution, you have to convert the lighting pipe to a hanging position. This seems rather strange to do considering if I am drawing a lighting pipe I kind of expect this to start off as a hanging position.
  7. Hi, I'm having a very similar issue. Working in VMX 2023. When I drew a 2D rectangle to create a lighting bar (and converted this to a hanging position) it managed to calculate bar weight as well as attach to the bar itself. It also showed that blue rectangle with a drop down to attach/detach. However, this does not display in 3D. So, I created a lighting pipe using the lighting pipe tool. It creates the pipe in 3D but the lights do not attach to it and therefore cannot calculate weights. There is no blue drop down list, but when I move the bar, the lights move with it. Am I missing something?
