  1. Hi Pat, I thought that had worked, the drawing stamp text did show up when I edited the layout, it had somehow changed to black text on the black border. However, I still get the same issue with the end result. Thanks for your help. Tony
  2. Hi Pat, Thanks for the prompt reply. Apologies, the quoted text doesn't make much sense, could you link the original post? I thought the option for instance or style was there to force a standard or allow the user to add their own details, see my TBB settings; I have set instances (to allow user input) for drawing stamp toggle, stamp text, custom text, use all capitals, append date, date and stamp angle. I have set style for all the other items to prevent users editing in the TBB settings. This box from the faulty TBB is identical to the working TBB. I have accessed this from the context menu, then 'edit plugin style' not using 'edit', as that allows lesser access. Apologies if I'm being a bit thick, not sure how this has gone wrong or how to fix it. Tony
  3. Hi, We are having some issues with the drawing stamp in the Title Block Border not showing up. If I try to edit the TBB, I can see the sample text in the right place, however, it does not show up when exiting editing mode. Also, if I just select the TBB, the components of the TBB are normally outlined, in this instance the affected drawing stamp is out of line with its supposed location, this TBB does not work; This TBB works; The drawing stamp text should be directly above the drawing title in the centre of the black bar, as shown in the second image. The first image shows the outline offset to the right, not sure if this is causing the issue. Hope you can help. Tony
  4. Hi, Is there a way to export to Excel and import from Excel the class information, including Name, Fill, Pen, Line, Thickness etc. values? This is fairly simple in Autocad, but I can't seem to find anything for VW. I have tried Pat's excellent script here; But this only provides a list of Class Name and no. of objects in each class, although each class name cell in the worksheet is filled in the respective colour. Any help would be appreciated. Tony VW2023 SP6 on Mac Classes_19_7_23 11_16_34.xlsx
  5. Hi Nikolay, Thanks for checking that out, all understood. Tony
  6. Hi Nikolay, Please find attached file, sheet E.01 sheet number has been changed to 'E.01 REV A' to demonstrate the issue. We now use 'E.01', adding the revision letter to the end of the sheet number was how we did it before we set up the Title Block Border to automatically populate the details. 7. Hi, I think I have worked it out, the sheet name is currently 'P.03 REV A', so the title block is just wrapping the text over itself, the sheet name should be 'P.03', as the revision letter is dealt with by another field. That's fixed it, thought I would update in case someone else has the same issue. Tony
  8. Hi, We have been using a title block border for a few months now without any issues, we have A3 landscape, A1 landscape and A1 portrait versions. I have copied the A3 version into an existing drawing and get a text overlay in the drawing number field. I have checked the text in title block and it points to the right entry. This only happens with the A3 version, the A1 versions of the title block in the same drawing file work correctly. Any help you can offer would be great, thanks Tony
  9. Hi, I am having problems with VW Architect 23 SP4 crashing, it seems to happen when I go to sheet layers tab on the organization window, then select the sheet layer I want to modify, then edit to open the ‘edit sheet layers’ dialogue, then page setup to open the ‘page setup’ dialogue, as soon as I click ‘Printer setup’ Vectorworks crashes. See attached recording. Hope you can help resolve. Tony 1038674294_ScreenRecording2023-03-17at09_08_41.mov
  10. Mike, Perfect, thanks for the prompt response. Tony
  11. Hi, We have recently upgraded to VW23 Architect and now have a menu screen pop up when VW is first started or when there are no drawing files opened. How do I prevent this menu from appearing, I am happy to open each drawing as we did in VW22. Hope you can help. Tony
  12. Hi, We have decided to manually add a North point to relevant sheets as this allows us more flexibility. So the issue has resolved itself, thanks for all the input though. Tony
  13. Hi, I am aware this is an old thread but hoping for some clarity. I have read Boh's responses above and changed the NP to instance but it will not allow me to move it manually, it is tied to the position of the TBB. We do not want to scale the TBB elements for different paper sizes. We have successfully set up an A3 landscape TBB style with the NP in the desired location. This morning I have created a new A1 Landscape style, managed to adjust the position of the title block etc. including the NP, but when I switch sheets to an A3 version the NP has also moved. It seems as though the NP is set in one style and that setting also applies to the other style. Any help would be appreciated. If someone could run through using a worksheet to manage TBB data, that would be useful. Thanks Tony
  14. Hi, Apologies for replying to an old post, I cannot find any other mention elsewhere. I have followed Andy Broomell's excellent article describing how to set up the Title Block Border and have got this working how I would like. I am struggling to generate a simple drawing list with sheet number, latest revision number and sheet title in a row for each sheet layer in the drawing set. The command Tools>Reports>Create Sheet List gets me very close but I can't work out how to add a column to show the latest revision number and am not sufficiently up to speed with databases or the worksheets functionality in VW, we are using VW22. The most frustrating part is that I have been using Autocad for 30 years or so and the drawing list report I am trying to achieve in VW is literally two button clicks. It is even easier in Revit, I seem to remember telling one of the sheets to be an issue register and it would work the rest out. Never thought I would find Revit easier than VW! Hope you can help me resolve this issue, it is preventing us from deploying our new title block. Any advice or links to relevant tutorials would be great, thanks. Tony
