Hi Tom Eureka!!! Thanks so much for pitching in to help. I think I saw you posted this same fix on the other thread where someone was having similar issues. I tried it then but I don't think I fully understood and changed the Species/data section arrows rather than all the arrows in the Tag section so it didn't work. So I need to do this for all my plants then? I don't really understand why this was changed from 2022? But it's working so I can now crack on. Thanks again, I'm so relieved. Flora

I'm up to date now with VW2023 S7. Unfortunately the problem still exists. I wonder if the file has corrupted somehow. I downloaded 2024 yesterday to see if the Plant tags would work in that and it didn't.

Hi Nikolay thanks for responding - I just saw your post. My VW 2023 is SP3. I didn't realise there were other updates? I ll look for them now and see if that makes a difference. Best wishes Flora

Help please. I've been using various versions of vecctorworks VW 2022 and more recently VW 2023. My issue is that Im trying to finish a planting plan but I can't use the plant tags - they are all greyed out in the OIP, I'm so frustrated. I can't see what I've done differently. Is this a bug or has my design file corrupted? I've searched around and seen 2 other users asking for help on this a while ago but I have no idea if they resolved it. I've never had this problem before. I downloaded VW 2024 yesterday in the hope that maybe solve it and it hasn't. Im starting to think I may have to do all the labels manually. Flora

Did you manage to fix this? I have a planting plant to get out to a client. I've not had this problem in 2022 either. Slightly panicking too.

Help please. I want to generate a plant report /list for the nursery. I am using VW 2022 for this design. The issue is that I generated a 'plant syle for the landcape areas' as part of the concept presentation plan. I don't actually want those plants. I created duplicate shaped beds with the actual planting plan. I have turned off the 'concept plants' but Vectorworks still includes them in plant list which is really confusing and time consuming to eliminate. What can I do to get a pure list other than delete all the 'concept' beds.? Thanks

Hi Thanks for replying and all your help. it was such a simple solution - I needed to turn my laptop off and on again properly not just restart it. Then teh VW recognised the SP4 pack no problem. Sorry for being a bit daft. Regards FP

Hi thanks for replying. It is the installation not the downloading. I tried installing as administrator and that didn't work. It seems to suggest the issue is the proxy settings at Vectorworks end of things.

Hi Its been a very long time since I used my Vectorworks 2010 software. I have loaded it onto my laptop ok. I am having problems updating it with the VW 2010 SP4. Every time I try to update it, an error message come up. Attempting Vectorworks 2010 update to SP4: update fails with the following message: "Server responded: <title>404 Not Found</title> An unexpected response was received from the web server. This could be due to a proxy server intercepting the connection. Please contact support for more information." Please can someone help me/ Many thanks FP.

I found another thread from 2005 about creating a block of text and copying the 'return' symbol and pasting that in. However I couldnt get that to work. When imputting text and using a linked record like I am, the record sheet is limited in the number of characters (20) it can have and only allows for single lines of text. So I have got round the issue now by creating multiple fields within my Job/Project box. So in the record field I've created Job line 1, Job Line 2, Job Line 3 etc to allow for the address. It seems strange with all the capabilities of VW that text wrapping is not part of the text editing. It seems such a basic thing! Perhaps there is a way and someone will enlighten me but at least I can move forward. Its daft how many hours you can spend fiddling around with these things!!

I've just made my custom title block using the excellent VW knowledgebase video But I cannot get my text to wrap in the boxes where there are longer lines of text, e.g the project address. It just goes off the page in one long line. In the actual help guide it suggests using a # at the end of the text field (calling it a pound sign which is confusing to a Brit!)but this hasn't worked. Someone please help. many thanks FP

Hi I just tried to open it again and it worked. So maybe on Monday when I tried to load it, I needed to shut down my computer completely after (I did reboot it at the time). Thanks for your help anyway.

Hi plaease help. Ive just got my software in the post today and am very excited. But it wont open! Ive read through other similar threads. I've installed it twice already, have uninstalled my exisiting Quicktime as it was a slightly more recent version and installed the one on the DVD. What else? Question I have VW 11.5 on the PC still - will that affect VW2010? Ive tried to uninstall the older version but it's being blocked by a message 'Could not open INSTALL/LOG file' Many thanks FP

Thanks for the fast responses. I have already found the exercises and movies in Landmark and Architect but have had problems getting the sound to work - the sound's garbled. Ive now downloaded the latest quicktime but now have no sound at all and Qtime doesn't respond (am working on Pc). Am not sure why. I shall try Islandmon's suggestion and get back to you. cheers :-)

Hi I'm a new user to Vectorworks Landmark (a week) and trying to use Vectorworks for a current project, a very steep learning curve! I am a garden designer and am trying to create a 3D view of the garden design. I have placed spot heights onto my drawing. Now I can't work out how to produce a DTM. I need to mark where my datum is so the spotheights make sense. Do I have to create contours? Having carried out the survey myself, I don't have 'professional' survey data to input. Its the turning of a 2d plan into 3D model that baffles me. Please can someone help? Thanks.
