  1. Is it possible for cable numbers to automatically update on all drawings the are present in? In my example I have a "master" schematic for my video router that contains all jackfields and all associated input DAs for the router. On a different "sub" schematic that contains a smaller production switcher I want to show the patch panel and DA associated for a particular input. I have copied the jackfield and DA from the master router drawing but if I update say the cable number on the master drawing it does not track or follow through to the other schematic. In my example of the highlighted objects you can see the cable number 12345 on the master schematic remained 1234 on the sub schematic. Is there a way for the sub or copied object to be updated the cable number from the master object?
  2. While I was placing new objects to replace the copied ones I stumbled upon the fix for the issue. Select the copied object and Align to Grid. Now I can connect to the copied object.
  3. I have a schematic that I have done a copy paste of an multiple existing DA's. I am not able to make any connections to or from the copied DA's. On the copied device the little square does not appear next to the crosshair when I get near the socket. Is making connections to a copied device not allowed? Thanks, Darrell
  4. Well I figured it out after using the right key words in a google search. Interesting how the 2016 guide shows it more clearly than the 2020 guide. https://app-help.vectorworks.net/2016/eng/VW2016_Guide/Symbols/Linking_Text_to_Record_Formats.htm#:~:text=Select the text and place, format from the Records list. https://app-help.vectorworks.net/2020/eng/VW2020_Guide/RecordsSchedules/Linking_text_to_record_formats.htm
  5. In the attached image, I can hide the rack location (1073) by setting the font size to .1 easy enough. However the rack number (R031) seems to combine loc_rack, loc_rackU, and loc_slot into one. Is there a way to make CC only show loc_rack and hide rackU and slot? It appears that in Data Manager you have the ability to do that, I'm just not sure I'm on the right track.
