OUR FIRM: DU Architects has had a long-standing presence in the Venice community for 25+ years. We are a boutique design office specializing in contemporary architecture. We have a practical approach of dealing with city & design processes to get projects permits and built throughout the city with a concentration in Venice. We run the firm as a studio where employees take on jobs from start to finish and participate in all aspects/phases of the project. QUALIFICATIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for someone with 2+ years of experience working in an architectural office. Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture Experience producing construction documents. Our drafting is done in Vectorworks. You will be responsible for creating / drafting / updating the drawing sets throughout each phase of a given project. Fluency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign) 3D modeling / quick rendering skills are a plus (SketchUp/Rhino/V-Ray) Experience with LA Building Department / Plan Check is a plus Ability to coordinate projects with multiple consultants from various fields. Strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills with clients, city officials, consultants and contractors. Ability to handle multiple projects at multiple phases with a sensitivity to project budget/scope.
