@VIRTUALENVIRONS The truss won't bend at all @jmcewen This is for visuals mostly and I'm trying to figure out how to convert parametric object into solid objects that can be edited as general solids. @JBenghiat This won't work on my end. Once I ungroup, I cannot convert to generic solids. That works great but then I can't use prebuilt trusses or any converted parametric objects

I’m trying to deform a truss using the Deform tool but haven’t had any success. I’ve tried multiple approaches to convert the parametric truss object into solid geometry, but regardless of the method, when I attempt to bend it I receive a “[Deform tool failed]” prompt. Is there a way to achieve this successfully? I’m working in Vectorworks 2025, Update 6.

When I try to share the document from the Cloud>Share Document menu, I get this window and nothing happens: and my Vectorworks Cloud Service has been giving me issues for the past month or so. It keeps on telling me that there is no internet connection so I have to quit the app and restart it (sometimes several times a day) for it to work. I rely on the cloud so it's painful to have to double check to make sure that files are uploading to the cloud. Any thoughts? Frédéric "Oaktown"

I just upgraded to Update 4 and when I click on AI visualizer, I get this prompt: My Design Suite license has always givem me access to the visualizer and whenever I would get this prompt, the next step was to sign-in using the user ID and password but this time it's not giving me an option to "sign-in" so I can't access the AI Visualizer at all. Any thoughts? Frédéric "Oaktown" ------------ UPDATE: I was able to log in via the [Cloud] menu but it seems that the AI Visualizer should still take you to the sign-in page on the web rather than just telling you to sign in without any explanations on how to do so!

@klinzey Here is the answer I got from customer service: So apparently I'm not included in the "everyone" group when you say: "Vision licenses are also now unlimited for everyone." Is it something they might not be aware of?

@klinzey What's the best way to contact support to get the Vision license updated?

@klinzey Does the access to unlimited universes also apply to people that have Service Select licenses? And is it the same for Showcase?

@rDesign Yes, I have the most current update installed. I can create seamless tiled patterns, OR create a clear alpha channel in an image but not both. In the example they show in the short video about the new features, it includes a seamless tiled pattern with alpha. Are you able to do both at the same time?

In the short video "AI Visualizer Patterns and Alpha Channel" there is a pattern named "Custom Voronoi" that has seamless tiling and an alpha channel but unless I'm missing something in the AI Visualizer tool, it's either or so how does one go about generating custom textures that are tileable and have an alpha channel?

@klinzey in the Security & Privacy > Camera tab, all I see is Vision 2023 and Vision 2024, no Vectorworks or Vision 2025.

It turns out that I was able to make it work but it took forever! It seems that anything related to video source send VWX into panic mode for a while and it takes anywhere 3 and 10 minutes to settle down but it seems to work eventually! Hopefully this will get sorted out so that it becomes a useful new feature. Also @klinzey it appears that one can right click on the video object and "select video source" from the contextual menu as well.

Thank you @klinzey. Everytime I try to select the NDI stream using Spotlight>Showcase>Select Video Source, I get the spinning ball and it crashes VWX 2025. I've tried with a very simple file that has just one video object and it still crashes. I'm working on a MacBook Pro M2 with 96GB of ram running macOS Sequoia public beta (24A335).

@jschulman that's what I figured out after reading your first response so now I'm all good. All I need now is find a way to push NDI through the capture but I've got another post about that hopefully I'll find some guidance!!
