  1. When importing a datasmith link from Vectorworks to Twinmotion, an error occurs where the model does not seem to be importing correctly. Once imported, we click “Zoom to Layer”, however this takes us to a blue screen where we are not able to zoom/move the viewpoint - as it the model is at the edge of the model space. We’ve tested the file using geo-referencing, as well as moving everything to 0,0 - however, this seems to have no impact. What would be causing this issue? Attached are some screenshots of what is seen at our end. As a studio, we are quite new to Twinmotion so we are looking forward to hearing from the VW community!
  2. Hey Michael, thanks for replying! Are there any particular screenshots it would be handy to see - such as specific settings? From what we can see / experience the file(s) seem to be run normally and it's when switching between paper and model space the symbols and groups disappear (not due to files crashing etc)
  3. We are having issues with Viewports in Model & Paper space, where drawing information disappears/separates itself to a far section of the drawing. The main recurring issues are: When loading rotated-saved-views the linework 'disappears’, leaving a blank screen. Pressing ‘0’ usually returns drawing to the screen, however, when reloading the same rotated-saved-view, the drawing disappears again. XREFs on larger files lose layer information and saved views tend to just show the linework stored in the XREF, not what we have drawn into the file. When publishing to PDF, some layers drop off the drawing. This issue seems to get worse the larger the file becomes (despite regular purges). What would be the cause of this issue? And is there a way of avoiding this?
  4. In a file that is heavy with planting & tree symbols, Vectorworks seems to try and simplify the file by deleting other symbols and groups. What would be the cause for this, and how can we avoid it happening?
  5. Is there a way to link Google Documents and Sheets as text objects/reports within a Vectorworks document, allowing them to be updated as if it was a Referenced File? This would be similar to Adobe InDesign and the links function.
  6. Do you have a suggested workflow or video for importing 3D survey information, and then converting this into a site model that we can then implement designs onto using the Hardscapes & Site Modifiers toolkit?
