Thought it was the hide/show constraints but that wasn't it.

Still trying to figure this out. Looking at workspaces, it does it when I am in either Architect or Fundamental but not Architect-Bim workspace.
-
I thought of that however it won't stop even if I turn visibility off and now one of my view ports render all yellow.

Vectorworks 2023, I hit something and now when I pan, all the objects turn red. It only does it when I use it on my lap top and not when I use my desktop so I am assuming it is a computer setting within Vectorworks however I can't figure out how to stop it. Any suggestions would be appreciated as it is driving me crazy.

The hatch on the left side will not hide behind the solid white object like it does on the right and I can't figure out why! I use the control B to send to the back but it doesn't work. Any sugguestions?

Thanks! Do you know is there a way of altering just the lines that lead to the object, and keeping the line with the text solid?
Thanks for your help!
I know this thread is old however I need the answer to this question please, thank you.

Tools \ Custom Selection
I am sorry but I am a newbie and when I search for stuff I only get old stuff. Maybe one day I will be as golden as you.

Under the organize menu you will find the "Custom Selection" tool. It allows you to enter a series of parameters, such as line weight, class, layer, fill pattern, etc. to select objects, I think this is what your looking for.
Where is this located in version 2022?

This topic is old, are there any updates on the matter? New to Vectorworks in the last year and looking to adding this feature to our drawings.

How do I apply the newly created template to a railing?

- How do I edit the window? When I right click and hit edit, the elements are still grayed out and I can't change anything.
Never mind, I found it.

Is there a way to change the settings of a styled window without converting to unstyled it?

Thank you for the file!

Hello all,
I am new to Vectorworks since April last year. I have been getting into rendering models and all the models I have done so far have been fairly small so my computer could handle working them. I now am working on a site with a large building and 2 smaller buildings. My computer is so slow and am looking at upgrading to a new computer for rendering purposes. I am looking for recommendations on computer requirements and also practices for modeling a site with several different buildings.

Alan,
I do have them set to class. My problem is not all the roofs are rendering as seen in the picture. All are set to the right class, not sure why they aren't rendering.

Andy,
Thanks for that, I thought I had that unchecked already but it wasn't. That helps. 🙂

I am new to site work on Vectorworks. I got the survey in AutoCAD form, made sure the scale was right and imported into my model. I was then able to make the topo. However now the topo will not show correctly when in isometric views. The screen shot is the left view and you can see my building in the lower left corner. The layer is set to the building layer. When I set the layer to the topo layer, the topo shows correctly and the building doesn't. What am I missing? Update: I found the solution, I put the topo on the building layer and it showed up and was at the wrong elevation!

Objects turning red when panning

It is happening in all views when I use Vectorworks on my laptop but not on my desktop.
