I had a similar issue with moving a door vertically on a wall. I found that if a door is placed on the drawing outside of a wall you can set the 'Z' height and then move the door into the correct place in the wall. The 'Z' height can't be adjusted while the door is in the wall.

Figured it out, there is another 'adjust flipped text' option when annotating in a viewport. Viewport - > Advance Properties -> Adjust Flipped Text.

Having a similar/opposite issue, need to annotate a plan but the writing keeps flipping back to read from left to write when rotated more than 90degrees. I have tried unchecking 'adjust flipped text' but the issue remains the same. I need to rotate the writing roughly 120degrees but do not want the writing to flip if anyone has any ideas?
