Hey I know this is a stupid question but for the life of me I can't find where VW11 tells me how much time I've been in a drawing. I can't find it in the lit. either. Help

But say I want to go to the actual image and change it in photoshop. Where would I find that image(ie:brown siding)

Is there a way to change the color of a texture (ie siding) I tried but couldn't find an option to do it. John T

Most of the residential windows (90%) I deal with have a large pane on the bottom and a smaller pane on the top with mullions. What would be the best way to create this window in 3d? Also the larger living room display type windows usually in 3 sections but not three equal sections (i.e. large window in the middle). How can I create this window? Can I create my own symbols? Are there symbols already out there that I haven?t seen? Can I buy them? They should be part of the vectorworks package as windows are an important 3d visual tool. Regards John T

I want to make custom counters so I've been drawing 2d polygons and extruding them. But when I extrude them to 3' high they loose there color in plan becoming just outlines. Am I using the right method? John T

I'm using 11.5 and I've reloaded from scratch. It may be some sheets have a dif. default and switching back and forth changes the default(which is a shame). I am using Stylus BT font.

I can't seem to get my text size to stay at 10 points. Everytime I'm going from one dwg to the next the text size changes. Everytime I use dimnsion or text I have to set the text size to 10. This is adding a lot of time and frustration to my work day. I would be happier if the text was stuck at 10 and the only way to change it would be to do it manualy. Am I missing something? Is this a bug to be fixed? John T

Well try this. Set your default as set out above to 10 points. Then go to a sheet and pick a viewport then deseldt the viewport. Check your default mine changed to 0 in that case.

Yes I've tried that and my default changes. I could be going from one scale drawing to another or if the default is different in the sheet it will change the default if I go into it I'm not sure. But the end result is the same.

Is there a way to cut and paste worksheet fields? I made a zoning worksheet and I want to copy 3 rows of cells with all data, number and text formats intact. Is this posible or do I have to refomat each cell one at a time? (which is crazy) Regards John T

How? I can't get a right click option and I can't find a copy option on the worksheet that allows a multiple cell copy.

Is there a way to change the plot device for all sheets? Going in to each sheet before batch printing to check if it is using the right device is very time consuming. Regards John Towgood

The update seems to haved worked for me Ya! (or at least its been almost a full day without a crash)

I crash 3 times a day!! I bought VW11 and then I bought a P2.8 hyper threading dell with 1/2 gig of ram. Thinking to create a stable fast system. We want to expand but I cannot support VW because I crash 3 times a day(I like the program). I was told to turn off hardware acc. and vectorcach but that didn't really help. Now with 11.5 the crashing is worse. The machine gets slow then the program crashes. No other program crashes. Is the any help on this? Am I the only one? Is the a fix on the way?

Everytime I change a section mark (ie. AA to BB) the font changes to a font I never use and is not the current font. Is this a bug? Regards John T

Hi, I have to comment that I too am crashing 2-3 times a day. The file slows down and stops I am using a pent. 2.8 hyprethreading, 506ram, large video driver, dell. I do use other programs at the same time but they don't crash. I have my autosave set to every five minutes so I never loose much but I am loosing faith in this great program and I have trouble suggesting it to others. Regards John Towgood

Thanks very much. I think I have a currupt file and maybe a currupt program. I can duplicate the benchmark/viewport problem on a new drawing. I'm too busy to reload the program so I'll have to that later.Thanks again
