  1. Hi All, Just spoke to my Vectorworks Tech Service Support. The problem seems to be with the local mapping - if you're making adjustments, they show on the sheet layer, but revert in the PDF. I have been told that a fix should be coming with SP3. The other tip I was shown is if you right click on the hatch in question, the second last option says 'New Hatch from Locally Mapped Hatch'. Save it as new hatch with the scale attributes that your happy with. (hot tip, if you then delete the resource with the scale mapping you dont want you can replace all with the new one you just made) - PDF should then reflect your sheet layer. SP3 is suppose to be out in a couple of days, but if your slow to update, or still having troubles, this option is good to create new favourites that don't need to be remapped.
  2. Same issue here too. I'm using page scale hatches so I can adjust to the look I want. I am happy with how they look in the Sheet layer, but then same sort of result as OP in the PDF.
  3. Haha! Yeah, I get it's a bit of an unspoken divide with a lot of personal choice! To be clear - my co-workers don't use VW, only me. So it's more about what will be best to run and stay update with VW for me. With no Mac experience, would be good to get feedback from Mac users on any user or upgrade issues they may have faced 🙂
  4. Looking for new computer advice. I have the opportunity to purchase a new computer for work. I've looked at the VW spec. recommendations. My main conflict is Mac v Windows. I've not really used Mac before (other than phones and iPads). A friend recommends Windows for more bang for buck, and more versatility for upgrades. My boss is a big Mac user, but is open to best options. I currently use a lot of image textures and bitmaps in my Landscape plans, and while I haven't done a lot in 3D yet, we'd like to get something that is capable of processing high qualities renders when we are ready to take that step.
  5. When using the the plant placement tool in 2020, the plant size would match that of the plant symbol selected. Now with 2022 it is always the last size of plant I used, instead of changing when I select a different plant. I have to manually change the size in the Plant tool preferences every time I change plants. It only works if I switch the plant size to styles, but I don't want to change that because I like the flexibility of being able to alter sizes, and/or show the same plant at different sizes. You can see in the attached image I have selected a small grass, but it will place the size of a tree unless I change the dimensions to match the symbol in the preferences.
