  1. Sorry to be thick here. What runs fine on Lion? VW 2010? Is it ok to install Lion or not - if I can't use my VW 2010 my work stops! Could someone tell me in simple language please?
  2. I am using VW 10.5 Landmark and what I find frustrating is - 1.Having to add a plant tag in Object Info. every time I put in a plant. The default seems to be set to None, and I can't find a way of changing that. If I forget to change it each time, the plans get printed with no tag on some plants. Surely a repetitive action like this could be eliminated by an option in the preferences or is there some way of doing this already that I don't know. 2.I would also like to be able to clear all lines from the inside of a cluster of plants - to give it a kind of "cloud" shape. 3.The tags are cumbersome as they are, to have the option of adding quantities and species without a tag line inside a plant group, would make life for the contractors so much easier. They have been complaining it is hard to interpret. Having said that the joy of being able to list up the plants accurately in a matter of minutes is wonderful, so I will upgrade once these issues have been solved.

  4. Hi Mike, I am setting the resolution to 300 in the export image option, which gives great quality. Then I paste back the doc dimensions - I also have embedded images, which may explain the enormity of some of my documents. Thanks for the information re pdf and zip. As an extra thought is there any way to change the dpi to 300 as default, since the 72 is such crap? I will send my printers the VW reader - thanks for that ; presumably I can zip a VW file.
  5. Hi Jonathan, The only problem I have is that I don't own an A1 printer, which is why I have to email to my printers. The pdf comes out as too big a doc to email (Mb) even as a zip, which is why I use jpg.
  6. Thanks Jonathan. I have tried saving as a pdf (I have a Mac G4 powerbook), but the size comes out even smaller. Should I just export using the marquee? I also use jpg to keep the size of the files down for emailing.
  7. I am working with Landmark, and it is crucial that the scale of the final printed doc. is accurate. However when I export to jpg in order to email to my printers, the printed plans come back slightly out of scale - 100cm becomes 90cm. I have tried exporting to practically every format and have the same problem. I open and save the jpg as a Photoshop jpg, because my printer can't read the original jpg and have also tried Illustrator. Having had no response in the Landmark forum, I am hoping someone holds the key out there?
  8. Can anyone help me - to reduce the file size for emailing to my printer, I am exporting as a jpg and then opening in either Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop and saving . I change to greyscale. If I send it straight as the original jpg, for some reason he can't read it. However the scale is coming back slightly changed. 100cm at 1:50 becomes 90cm. Has anyone got any ideas?
  9. Whenever I import a jpg to create an 2D image in the resource browser, the scale goes mad, and I get huge bricks. This is even true if I have created the images from symbols that I already use - by copy/pasting them into Photoshop and saving as a jpg. I have tried changing the resolution and actual size, but no joy. Can anyone help?

I have been trying for ages to add images as a new resource in documents, but the scale always goes bananas 1 metre bricks don't work! The scale as symbols works but not once I import a jpg. I have tried everything changing resolutions, changing the actual image size - can anyone help? These include images downloaded for VW
