  1. Although is there any way I can remove the line on the outside of the sinusoidal cladding? That component doesn't have a line and the thickness is also set to zero. Screenshot and .vwx file attached Wall and cladding.vwx
  2. This seems to work pretty well, thanks a lot!
  3. Thank you for the response. Actually that did cross my mind - I'll look into this as I don't know much about it. Can I control the pitch of the wave exactly with this method? And would I be able to control how the waves meet at the corners?
  4. Hi there. We specify sinusoidal profile cladding fairly often. Is there a tool to create this in 2d to avoid having to draw it manually? I know there's a 'sine wave' line type but that doesn't give me enough control of the profile and it's hard to select etc. There's a corrugated option in the 'linear material' tool but it only seems to display trapezoidal profile corrugate. Ideally we'd also be able to build the cladding it into a wall style but I'm assuming for now I'll just have to 'bolt it on' to the outside of the style.
  5. This has fixed it. Thank you so much!!!
  6. Hi there. We have standard title blocks that we use and for one of our projects, the Sheet Title and Sheet Number refuse to update on the sheet when edited via the 'Navigation - Sheet Layers' palette. In order to get the fields to change, I have to change them via Sheet Data which is much more time consuming. The intended functionality works on all of our other projects and I've checked the title block set up via Title Block Layout and it looks to me that the Title Block Data is linked correctly. I've tried replacing the title block styles in the document with new styles but this doesn't work. Attached is a stripped down version of the file that's not working. Any help appreciated. 7. We also have encountered this problem recently on a couple of our projects and I can't work out why it's happening. Any help appreciated.
  8. Agreed. When drawing really complex polygons (eg. tracing a complex object) sometimes you forget where you started so being able to see the vertices would be an ideal fix for that problem
  9. Hey. See attached. Essentially the window this thinks that the wall depth is 600mm even though it'd been reduced in thickness by the recess so it's drawing the lines of the jamb too long. Test recess.vwx
  10. Hi @TomKen. Thank you for the additional information. Unfortunately I'm still not getting it to work. When I assign the 2nd recess to a class and then hide it, the opening doesn't remain. If possible, are you able to give me the exact steps in order, or a quick screen record? Thank you for your patience
  11. Thanks @TomKen. I can't open the file (I'm running 2021 VWX). However, if you briefly were able to give me short bullet points of exactly the steps you took that'd help. I tried creating a splayed wall recess using AEC > Create wall recess (successful) but when I try and create another recess within the thinner section of wall it behaves strangely. Maybe I'm misunderstanding?
  12. Ok thanks that helped a bit. I changed the class of the Sill and Header in the 2D visualisation settings > Visibility Classes to a hidden class which took away the horizontal lines. But I still have vertical lines as per screenshot. Any idea how to get rid of these @Matt Panzer or anyone else?
  13. Hey folks. Have the same question as the original post and have tried the method @Matt Panzer suggested. However, I still get the undesirable lines in 2D. What do the window settings (or whatever else) need to be at to ensure in this instance the line would follow the narrower part of the wall? Thanks
