Not sure if you still need the help, but I will post in case anyone else runs into this problem. I now have a working copy of VW 12 on my windows 7 computer. HOW I DID IT I updated to the latest vectorworks 12 version available which is 12.5.3. That can be downloaded from here . . . http://www.nemetschek.net/downloads/fundamentals/version12/12.5.3.php After I installed the update I downloaded the current driver for windows 7 from aladdin's website here . . . http://www.aladdin.com/support/hasp/enduser.aspx Download the appropriate file (for me it was the Sentinel_HASP_Run-time_ setup.zip file in the HASP HL Device Driver Downloads section. Direct download file . . . ftp://ftp.aladdin.com/pub/hasp/Sentinel_HASP/Runtime_%28Drivers%29/Sentinel_HASP_Run-time_setup.zip I installed that (without the dongle plugged in) and then once it had completed I plugged in the dongle and launched VW 12.5.3 and it worked. Hope others will have success!

I am trying to make a hollow platform with one side frosted plexiglas and the other sides solid. I created a box, extruded it, then subtracted all but 2" all the way around except for the side I want to be solid, this I cut through completely. I made another extrude to fill this section. I want to be able to put a light in the box and have it light up the plexi side. When I put a light in and render it, it acts like the box is not there and the light spills everywhere and does not light up the plexi which I added the tecture of transparency to. Does anyone have any idea how this can be accomplished. Thanks.

I was able to uninstall and reinstall the software and now it tells me that there is "no dongle attached" The dongle is attached and is lit up. When I run with this dongle on my laptop, everything works fine but not on my desktop. Please help.

Hi Katie, I tried that and it won't install. It extracts two files which when are opened just has written words but nothing about installation. Thanks

My vectorworks 10 will not open. I get an error message saying that I need up-to-date dongle drivers. I did that and it did not help. I then was going to try and reinstall vectorworks but it will not uninstall. It gives me an error message that says "Install.log file not found". I have WinXP SP1. Thanks, Will
