  1. I have the same problem as Lane but with Vectorworks 11 in a Windows Server 2003 environment using folder redirection. I have installed Vectorworks but I cannot find any Vectorworks folders in either the PC profiles' Application Folders or the redirected applicaton folder. This is very problematic because the students have their own laptops on which they should have their own copies of Vectorworks. I don't want them using lab licenses. This problem creates huge complexity. Even if I let the students use the lab licenses when connected to the network, which I certainly don't want to do, when they switch between using their private dongle and the network dongle (if they want to work in the lab in a different building), they need to input the license number of dongle 1 and delete the license number of dongle 2 (Vectorworks only checks one license so they cannot all be entered), and if they do not have access to the dongle that they most recently used with their Windows profile, which they will not if they are in a different building, Vectorworks quits before providing an opportunity to input any license number at all. Please address this problem urgently. We are traning 60 students in 5 days time.
  2. This problem is even worse than I thought. Even if I let the students use the lab licenses when connected to the network, which I certainly don't want to do, when they switch between using their private dongle and the network dongle (if they work at home for example), they need to input the license number of dongle 1 and delete the license number of dongle 2 (Vectorworks only checks one license so they cannot all be entered), and if they do not have access to the dongle that they most recently used with their Windows profile, Vectorworks quits before providing an opportunity to input any license number at all. Please addres this problem urgently. We are trinaing 60 students in 7 days time.

  4. I have installed the new software on both a Windows 2003 server and a Windows XP machine. Both installed properly and the dongles light up. I can see both running copies of License Manager in AKS Monitor but neither dongle appears. As I said before both dongles function normally in single user mode.
  5. I have just been sent what look like normal single user packages with CD and dongle. The dongles look like and work as single user dongles. Do I have to do anything to the dongles to configure them for the lab seats licenses?
  6. I have installed both the latest driver and the latest License Manager. Still neither Dongle is visible. I urgently need this to work becasuer my students start in seven days.
  7. I am running Windows 2003 Server on a Compaq server with 1.5Gb RAM. The network dongle driver will not install returning the message: ?Installing the Device drivers failed. The error message is: Failed to start the Aladdin Device Driver. Failed to start the service in the Service Control Manager Database.? The dongles (I have two because we have two buildings) lights up when inserted and it is listed in the Device Manager as working properly using driver version 1.29, but the service does not appear in the Services listing, and the key is not displayed in Aladdin Monitor so it cannot be seen by a client machine. After several attempts at uninstalling and reinstalling, the driver will not now uninstall via the Add/Remove Software window, returning the message "Could not open install.log file" I have tried, without success, modifying the boot.ini file as suggested by Aladdin's technical support although this recommendation is only for servers with more than 4Gb of RAM. I have also tried to install the software on my Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop. I have had more success in that the driver has installed. However, although both the dongles light up, neither is visible in Aladdin Monitor running on the same machine. Please help.
