I have just selected the plant class instead of layer and this seems to work accurately. So maybe I will in the future put different planting beds on different classes and select them as the criteria. I know I have done it before with layers so I wonder if this is a gliche with the software that it doesn't always work?

I have made a new clean file, created two layers and pasted in the planting only. When I do a total schedule with the 'any' criteria selected it works! Maybe there is a reason why it is picking up 100000 items in my original file. There certainly aren't that many plants!

Every time I try that over 10000 items meet criteria and it crashes the program.

I have accurate plant schedules relating to three separate layers for different garden beds. When I create a worksheet on the masterplan that includes all three layers of plant numbers if it coming up zero. In my criteria I add all three layers plus plant records. I would like to know why it is not selecting each layer so I can get a total number of plants. Thanks for your help. Wendy

thanks jeff, not sure how to see which version they are using but that could be the difference. Still not sure how to name my object as my dialogue box doesn't give me an option to do that.

I am watching the Landmark essentials seminar. When I use the "create an object from shape" command and I select for example Hardscape, it brings up a dialogue box that is different from the one shown in the seminar. There is no field to name the object. The other options are the same such as tag display, joint pattern etc. Any clues why it is different or how to name my hardscape object? Thanks
