  1. Thanks for responding. I have got a large drawing and want to make several a larger scale drawings of parts of it. It would take to long to clip out each part of the drawing. Viewports alow me to do this qucikly but I then want to break the realtionship with the original drawing so i can make alterations. If I could 'detach' the viewports or convert them to normal design layers I could do this - in the same way a workgroup an be detached from a drawing and then edited. Thanks.
  2. Being able to rotate a view without having to rotate all objects in a drawing would be useful. This would allow drawings to be setup to correspond to other consultants coordinate systems, and still fit conveniantly on a page.
  3. Vectorworks does not currently have an equivalent of Xrefs [Autocad] or Reference Files [Microstation]. The Reference system in Microstation is fantastic. PLease can Vectorworks do something similar, Worksheets are hopeless. They are linked to the page position so when you move the sheet position, the next time you open a drawing the reference has moved, this is useless.
  4. Being able to zoom in and out mid command is a basic and useul function. It used to be possible on 8.5.2 using the keys '1' and '2' but in 11 the only way seems to be via the '+' and '-' icons on the scroll bar at the bottom of the window. These icons are difficult to use as they also nudge the screen.
  5. Hello, I would like to know if it is possibe to convert a series of viewports to objects on a design layer. I am hoping to use viewports as a means of 'cropping' a section from a complicated drawing. Is this possible? Or do I have to use the cropping tool within the design layer?
