  1. Hello, I design scenery in VW, then export to C4d, light the set and render. Is it possible to light in VW using SPOTLIGHT, then export and render in C4d?
  2. In the "Edit Wall Style" dialogue box the Class/Height area is inactive. (fields do accept input) Are these selections only available to Vectorworks Architect users? I'm using Spotlight. I set the Delta Z and Z heights in the layers dialogue box, yet when I try to create a wall on a given layer the wall is not automatically sized according to the settings in the layer box.
  3. Is it possible to use ?snap to object? through (or across) layers? I tried to place a second floor wall on a separate layer directly over the first floor wall, but found it impossible to snap to the object. I used COPY ?(changed laayers) PASTE IN PLACE to do the job., but would love the ability to snap to an object on another layer.

  5. When I create a 3d object in plan view, how can I move it precisely along the 3D axis without dragging it in the front or side views? I'll select a 3D object and when I look in the object info palette, I see no information describing its position along the Z-axis. Also, in the duplicate array box, there is no option to duplicate along the Z-axis. Is it possible to duplicate along the Z-axis? Thanks cinema4d@fusemail.com
  6. Perhaps I'm the only person to encounter a problem with this, but I did solve the problem and for anyone else having similar issues I will explain the solution. (Read the section in the chapter and attempt to replicate the object) If you encounter problems try the following Individually select each cross section and perform Model/Convert to Nurbs on each. In the Object info palette, check/select the show direction box. Click on each cross section/Nurb to make sure the nurbs are all going in the same direction on each cross section. Place a 3d loci at the corresponding corner of each Nurb/cross section. Select the loft surface tool, apply the loft with no rail mode and select each loci starting at the bottom and working your way up? press enter. In the Loft creation dialogue box, select create solid ? click OK This should replicate the image in chapter 10, page 10 of the VW 11 users guide
  7. Can anyone suggest a good tutorial for this tool. (Loft surface no rails) I'm at 10-10 in the VW manual and I'm unable to replicate the mini loft surface demo. Thanks for your assistance.
