[Font problem]

Hello,

We are small office(6 people), and we are running Mac OS X Tiger.

We purchased Vectorworks 12.5 not that long ago.

There are serious font problems in vectorworks.

We use 'Universe' as main font.

Often, fonst are converted to 'Geneva' ; and somtimes are changed to question marks.

Using 'true-type' font will help?

Please, let us know if you have experienced similar problems.

I heard there is way to key assign zoom line thickness, and b/w toggle.

It is cumbersome to do it through document set up everytime I print.

Can any one explain how to script the command, and where to save it.

When it comes to vector script, I'm totally new.

is there a way to create key commands in the vectorworks workspace for theindividual tools within a main tool. for example, i would like to have individual commands for the different cut/combine tools -(single object connect + dual object connect).

any help would be appreciated.

unless i am confused, the only way to align objects is to open the align/distribute dialog. i have a key command to get here, but what i am looking for is how to create a key command for the align tools within this dialog...

[page set up "styles"]

is there any in vw11 for osx to create "page set up styles" - a full size, half size, and quarter size page set up style more specifically. it would be nice to be able to choose one setting in the page set up dialog box (i.e. 1/4 size print) and automatically have the %, page size, and printer modified to a saved setting...

any help would be appreciated.

[font problem...]

i've been having a problem with a particular font in vectorowrks 11 on os10.3.5. the font is 'univers67 condensed bold'. when i am in the text edit box, i can change text to this font, but when i exit the text edit box, the text that i converted switches to 'univers47 condensed'??? any help would be greatly appreciated.

i frequently find myself switching the preferences on and off for zoom line thickness and black/white only. unfortunately, it's pretty cumbersome to get to these options. i was wondering if it's possible to assign key commands to items (such as these) that are found in the vectorworks + document prefence menus?

i was wondering if there is any way to direct vectorworks 11 to a default layer when opening a specific drawing? also, on certain drawings, when i update the worgroup references (and i am on a drawing layer), my drawing automatically switches to the 1:1 layer (very annoying). any help would be appreciated.

i was wondering if there is anyway in vw11 to create saved page setups such as full size, half size, quarter size. it takes some time (when reprinting a full set of drawings) to go through each drawing and change the paper size, printer, etc...

[problem with worksheet font printing]

thats the strange part - evrything else in our documents prints out fine with that particular font - its only the worksheets that aren't coming out right...

when i use a worksheet in vectorworks 11 (mac os 10.3.4) and format the font to a specific font, it shows up correctly on the screen and when converted to a pdf, but it prints as an entirely different font from our plotter. any help would be greatly appreciated.

[group object info??]

i've been noticing some inconsistency with the group object info on vectorworks 11(mac os10.3.4.) sometimes the object info for groups shows its the callas + layer as well as overall dimensions and position(x + y). other times it only shows the class + layer. any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

[problem with document/object context menus]

i'm running vectorworks 11 on mac os 10.3.4 and lately i've been having problems with the document and object context menus(control+click on document/object). about half of the time it works fine, but the other half of the time, the context menu pops up with all of the commands greyed out. any help would be appreciated.
