  1. I've been using hybrid symbols more often and am interested / excited by their potential power in streamlining drawing, however that is being hindered by the fact that I have never been successful in moving a 2d component away from the default plane using "edit component location".  This generally results in a fair amount of redundant drawing in order to get elements to stack correctly.

I've tried following the directions in the help documentation with zero success.

At it's simplest, I'm trying to move a 2D top view from the default location (at the top of the 3D object) to a lower location (middle or bottom) so that other elements stack correctly.  The chair / table example in the help is the exact use case i'm trying to accomplish.

Any tips / tricks that might lead to a better experience with hybrid symbols?

  2. Anyone have issues with drawing label and reference marker scaling in VW2023?

I am bringing together drawings done by different people into a single file.  All were done in VW2021 and VW2022.  Many were done with all of the notes in the design layer.  They all pasted in file, but now a few days later, all of the drawing labels and reference markers on any design layer that isn't 1/4" scale are so small they can't be seen without some intense zooming and any new labels added also end up tiny.  Trying to figure out I can fix this and wondering if it's a new setting somewhere in VW2023.

Thanks for the help. in advance.

  3. With the 4.1 service pack update to VW2021, all of my design layer viewports have reoriented themselves.  I was using a referenced file so that I could work on part of my model in a different orientation than it needs to be in in my master file, but now it is locked to the same plane it is in in the referenced file.  My files auto updated to this new orientation in the master file and I can't reorient the object without reorienting it in the referenced file.

Am I missing a setting somewhere?
