You did it right, but you need to use the distro insertion tool to place all the devices for them to read as power devices. The hoist distro you had was placed as a regular symbol; thus, the distro record didn't get attached. See file.
I hope you found the class informative. Thanks for attending.

Sorry, is this not the same as
I believe @jcogdell was helping out.
I'm on my way to LDI and can offer help for this next week. Let's try to keep this in one thread please. -

We primarily use Slings and Shackles for truss attachments and in the Inventory and Equipment list
Another suggestion. Add virtual parts to the hoists. If this is a primary workflow, you can add a collection of virtual parts to hoists and adjust the gear numbers after placement. The virtual parts will show and be reported via inventory.

want to display this information inside a report and insisde a data tag but I can't find the parameter
I think this is what you're looking for. Using the Create Report menu command, we have a preformatted report to show the distributor outputs.
For this to work, you need to run the Create Power Schematic command as the distro input/outputs are hidden inside the distro parametric object.
Here's a file to play with.

You could do either. I attach it to the symbol itself via right-clicking the symbol in the Resource Manager. Use the attach record option and then edit the record via the dialog.

separate section with only drafting, even if there are repeats?
Yes.
If you pull out the paperwork and create links between the paperwork and the show photos, you won't have duplicates. You'll find that people who want help with drafting may not be concerned with what the show looked like on stage. -

work examples available on request
Hi Rachel, welcome to the forum.
You may wish to publish a few examples of your VW work on your site so people can have a place to start when considering bringing you on board for projects.Best, Scott

Is there a way I can set it again so the priority is that leg 1 has a specific length ?
Play with this setting in the Bridle preferences.

What brand and model of curved truss are you planning on using? Do we have them in our library? Or, are the symbols available via the manufacturer?
Please post a sample file so that the collective can take a look.
Yes, if using truss symbols with appropriate Braceworks records and settings, Braceworks will be able to calculate weight loads.
If you're looking for the overall weight of the entire system, you can also build worksheet reports with all the weight info.

@Agust Ingi if @Nikolay Zhelyazkov's suggestion isn't working, Please post a sample file so that the collective can take a look.

If you want to cheat a little, you could use the cable tools cable path tool. It will draw something that looks like a cable and allows you to edit the profile.
-
You may need to find the SFX device in the resource manager directly. Then, double click it to activate the lighting device insertion tool.

I haven't used this, but colleagues here mention using the Stake object to allow reading the elevation of your ground level. With that, you may be able to use that height and the trim height info in a worksheet to do some math and have the result displayed in a data tag.

Now I'm trying to cable motors. Any insight?
You'll need to add input or consumer components to the hoist symbols.

Here's my workaround until rear supports are implemented during future development. I hope this is helpful.

Does this use LED symbols? Or, just a generic surfasce
What I drew was an LED wall using the LED wall tool. The tool can use actual symbols or place a LED wall shape to preview the wall.

hello Guy,
Have you tried the new LED Wall tool? We have a mode that applies walls to 3D surfaces at any angle.-

A helpful set of buttons. If you turn off all but the shared library, it helps see what's there without all the other files.

Here's one of my test files that should prove helpful. I've put the stinger (steel) in the top bar symbol on one wall. In the other, I've used the stinger as a pickup symbol on the truss.
