  1. Where is the 'edit site model label position mode' and how do you add the label where desired?
  2. In general, do others manage to effortlessly link Revit models? In reality on a typical project the Revit model's fidelity is controlled on the Revit side with scope boxes, view filters, worksets, phasing, design options, etc. Making the model a mess on import. Plus, commercial models are comprised of many links which can total GBs of data. In the demo videos they use the relatively clean prototype model which is a curated finished product, not a messy project in flight.
  3. Is it possible to use an architect's Revit file as a background for construction documents? We are a landscape design firm attempting to collaborate with architects using Revit. But in my testing, no matter how we import or reference their Revit model, I can't create a typical plan where the doors on the buildings are represented with the typical door swings. Is it just the case that we will have to import or link CAD exports of the building to create construction documents? Just curious how other are approaching this.
  4. I tried to copy paste the trees from the Vectorworks file to Omniverse Create stage and it didn't work.
  5. The ability to exchange data with Omniverse is welcome and much appreciated. It is my understanding that in other applications such as Rhino or Revit there is a CSV file which lists 'blocks' that can be updated to swap out assets for native Omniverse files by changing the path. I have not been able to locate such a file for Vectorworks. I would like to replace all the Vectorworks plants with Omniverse native equivalents. Is there a similar method for accomplishing this exchange with Vectorworks?
  6. Thank you, after some testing I figured out I need to to set the quality to High under Conversion and select an appropriate scale of the import for the lines to show up correctly.
  7. When importing AutoCAD files with complex linetypes for overhead electric, waste water, etc., the lines come in as solid in Vectorworks. Is there an import setting that will maintain these linetypes?
  8. When exporting to Revit, in this video the objects when selected appear to be Revit System Families, but when I export the VW objects all appear to be directshapes. Am I doing something wrong? The problem I am having is directshapes are difficult to apply materials and the quality of the BIM information seems limited. When exchanging models with the architect, they have trouble rendering the combined models when our entities are directshapes. Also, for example with hardscapes, the layer cake of materials carry no informative information. So the architect would not be able to tell an insulation layer from a drainage mat layer of a hardscape on structure. I'm wondering how others manage to engage with collaborative BIM modeling to Level-of-detail (LOD) 350 when exporting to Revit.
