So I'm using VW 12.0.0 Architect+Renderworks in my powerbook, and it's noticeably slower than 11.5 was (for drafting-who knows what will happen once I start rendering. Granted, it's only 1 GHz G4, but even a friend who is running one of those new Dual Dual G5's commented on how much slower 12 is than 11. Any suggestions as to how to speed it up (alot)? Think I can expect a service update to speed it up? Or should I maybe give up on this version? I've already turned off the Anti-aliasing thing. thanks. -dennis

After speaking to Nemetschek, I'm informed that VW11 only deals with SAT 5. If that's true, that's a little pitiful (I think current version in release is 10 or 12). Either way, in my testing of imports, I've yet to get the original geometry into VectorWorks. I've tried files and versions from Cobalt, Vellum Solids, Form?Z, and Solidworks. Invariably, there are parts missing or odd geometry. Anyone else having this problem or have a suggestion about how to get around it? Single part models, or multi-part (multiple parts are the worst)-none of it really works. Thanks, -dennis
