  1. After updating to VW12, I noticed my vectorscript rendering menu scripts were not the same. After sleuthing out the changes, I present them here for others. The current VW12 online help does not list these modifications. Example for vectorscript: DoMenuTextByName('Renderworks Render Chunk',8); {'8' is index for selecting "Fast Radiosity"} Below are the index changes I found: 8 was ArtisticRW, 8 is now Fast Radiosity, 9 was ArtisticRWOptions, 9 is now Final Quality Radiosity, 10 is Custom Radiosity, 11 is Custom Radiosity Options 12 (appears to be skipped) 13 is now Artistic RW 14 is now Artistic RW Options Everything else for the menu, View>Rendering choices seems to be the same as listed in the online vectorscript Menu Chunk Selector list. I hope this helps someone out. bldrtom
  2. John, I just installed 12.0.1 on my Powerbook G4 1.33, OSX10.4.4. I did not start it up immediately but first ran the disk utility to correct permissions and then did a restart. I have no idea if this is the cause of your problem, but I have had no trouble starting back up again in VW12.0.1. Perhaps worth a try.
  3. I'm in VW12.0. I am having problems saving preferences made during a session such that when I re-open the saved files, those saved preferences are still set. Instances: 1.) Double Line Preferences-I can set the separation to 3.5 and Create Polygons and those preferences will be maintained while the file is open or until I change them. If I save the file and reopen, then those preferences reset to separation 0 and Create Lines. 2.) The same thing happens with 'eyedropper' prefs. I would like to lock in 'picks become default' for all file openings (if I choose) but it always defaults to unchecked. 3.) The same thing occurs with constraints palette. I would like to set 'Smart Edge' to ON as a default for all file openings but do not see a way to do so. ALL of the above maintain the preference for a session or until changed BUT . . . ?? Is there anyway to lock in my own preferences for those tools?
