I have tried 2023 again after updating my BIOS. I updated graphics drivers. I have latest update for Windows 10. My desktop still does not render textures ... Does ANYONE have a solution? Is there any technical support for this? I really would like to use 2023, especially since it has been paid for.....

I, too, have occassional problems with fit to roof. I am having a situation where the entire wall does not want to fit. Very strange, indeed. I have extended the roof overhange, but still didn't work. Any suggestions?

Thank you. That may have been off also..... Thank you so much for your guidance. I started from scratch with VW in July 2021, so I am still somewhat of a newbie. Everyone here has been great offering advice, help, etc. I am working on a 56,000 church, 2 stories with half basement that has many classrooms gym, offices, etc. So I am really stretching my knowledge base. But I must admit that that without VW this project would be overwhelming in 2D Cad.

What are eligible object modes? I drew a simple line and a polyline, but the tag did not accept them.

I see that VW has several data tags for life safety including travel distance. How do you get it to work? I have drawn both a simple line and a polyline but the data tag does not recognize them. Must I somehow define the line as a Travel distance? If so, I don't have a clue how to do it. Any assistance is appreciated.

Thank you. I was trying to use the Spaces Labels. I was doing such a silly thing... When I inserted into the space, I would simply click and a large triangle would appear. I was failing to acturally "catch" the space... Thanks for your advice about using data tags instead of Space Labels... I like them much better for everyday use.

I have created several space labels that I had hoped to use for various plan types - Life Safety w/ Occupant loads, General Floor Plans and Finishes Plan. I can't figure out how to actually insert them into the drawing... When I drop a label into t a space, it uses it "smartness". Do I have to copy the spaces onto another layer to get it to work? I assume since the layers have a class setting, that when annotating the layers are adjusted accordingly. Is there a video that explains to accomplish this? Thanks.

I have decided to uninstall and to not try using 2023 until the shding issue has been resolved. I have spent wayyyyy too much time trying to get this to work.

I am having the same problem, but rebooting did not correct the problem. I have also reinstalled VW2023 to no avail. My gut tells me that I have a graphics card issue or a setting on the registry is not set correctly.

Thank you. Yes, I had read those comments. I rebooted, but nothing changed. I then re-installed VW23 - same issue. Rebooted again - nothing changed. This is so frustrating. It seems that whenever I get ANY updates to software, etc. I run into a myriad of issues. I thought I would never get Windows 10 to recognize my network drives - Windows turned off auto detect for some reason. I am thinking that possibly the issue with VW23 is a setting in the registry.

Below is an example of a downloaded project from VW straight from the download. The screen shots are from a drawing sheet showing before and after I Reloaded the views. For some reason textures/materials DO NOT render. I have closed and rebooted my machine, have reinstalled VW twice, etc. Nothing seems to work. I have a feeling it is a graphics card issue, register setting or another setting somewhere that I am not aware of. I had a similar problem when I first got VW2021. I was using Windows 7 and was told that Cineware wa not compatible with that windows version, so I had to use VW 2020. I have subsequently upgraded to Windows 10 (which has been a royal pain by the way) and have been very pleased with VW 2022. Is there a similar issue now with Windows 10?

This may have been discussed on this thread, or elasewhere, but I have not seen it... I do mostly commercial with low slope roof (flat roof). I can not get the VW skylights to insert into the roof. I use roof slabs so that I can create crickets, etc. for parapet walls, etc. Is there a link available to demostrate how to make the skylight insert into the slab? Thank you. I am very confused. The Wasco Skylight Symbols have Roof and Slab choices. They attach to the roof slab, but do not provide a "hole". There is a command to change the 3dhole, but I can't figure out how do that. I just downloaded the new 2023 VW hoping that would have addressed this, but it doesn't, or at least I don't see how.

Thank you for your input. I think that is the simplest solution. One would think that this is an issue that would have been addressed by developers a long time ago.
