Thank you gentlemen, you have made my decision much easier to make.

I am trying to decide if I should purchase a new Apple G5. I am currently working on a two year old iBook that is just not fast enough to do the 3D modeling and rendering that I need to. My problem is that I can only afford the 2GHz G5. Does anyone have this computer and if so how well does it work for them? Should I hold out and try to get a 2.3 or 2.7GHz machine? Any input is appriciated Thanks, Ben

I have a sheet with 4 viewports on it. I would like to render the viewports and save it as an image file and eventually print. Can anyone tell me whet the shortest steps are to get this done and what image type will give me the best quality. I don't want to "Update the viewports" if I don't have to. Thanks

This happens to me all the time and the easiest way I found to get around it is to have the window you are trying to work in on the desktop then "Hid Vectorworks" from the pulldown menu. Using the hot keys makes it faster and you shouldn't have to close and reopen the file.
