It can draw polyline at any shape of closed perimeter.. not just around existing hatch. How many steps/click you need to draw a polyline with eg : 15 or 165 vertex?? Bpoly can do it with only 1 click ...not 15 or 165. From the polyline...you can manipulate it to for your need eg: area detection / calculation/ colouring. I know there is command to create polygon from wall in VW. But it is only limited for closed wall only, not line/arc/polygon/rectangle/etc.

Could be better if there is new command /tool similar to Autocad's Bpoly command.

For perspective..simply set your 3d view from inside of the restaurant. For elevation ...Try Cut 3D section

Postscript handle colour/gray tone better compare to RTL/HPGL2. When we print graphic / drawings / illustration with grey tone or lines, it always frustrated under PCL/RTL format. Since your plotter come with PS... make use of it. Setup your plotter as postscript plotter. I'm sure U know how to do it. * Postscript & RTL/HPGL2 should be set up separately !!!!!

Hello Brunus.. 1 ? Simply create secondary IP just to work around intranet. eg: 192.168.10.xxx All printer to be set under 192.168.10.xxx and all machine must have same subnet as secondary IP. It is good speed up your network when intranet and internet to work under deference subnet. And it's easy to filter / setup your firewall. Under Mac OS 10.3.x , rearrange your IP base on your need. Normally, IP with internet / mail access need to be set as primary IP means first row in the column. 2 ? Which type of printing are U using? IP and LPR are sound similar but it is not same. Are you print direct to the printer or by using LPD server? Tell me how long you take to complete spooling on your Panther. Let me give you a clue, By using LPD server, spooling a 50 MB photoshop file takes only 4 seconds to complete under Panther ( Spool from Panther to LPD server ). Viper X "and when I scale it down it is still poor quality" If U try to paste as a picture.. some times it come with unacceptable quality. The trick is... Zoom IN as close as you can. eg: 5 mm to fit your screen, then paste as picture....Zoom to fit new object and U will get better quality image.

Me too... I think it is depends on what OS / system has been use. On Mac OS X , I can simply copy and paste the text from Word. On MS Windows... I'm not sure.

Replace/overwrite the PPD files from perfect computer. ( same OS and Version ). Sometimes, PPD files is corrupted.

You can use ppd file if your plotter come with postscript feature. Otherwise I recommend to use LPD print server. I had explain about LPD server somewhere in this forum.

You still can use plotter ppd file for OS9 on OS X, When U setup the printer, select the ppd fil manually. Normally it work. I have try it on HP1055cm, HP755CM, HP5100tn, HP4100, HP4M, HP5M, TDS400 & TDS800.

Get know their plotter model, get latest driver from Manufr's website and save as PS file.

Go to Vectorbits.com and get the free tools from there. I think NAA should include this feature in their next release.

Hello Kevin, Gimp-Print purposely for Unix / Linux / Mac to print to non-postscript printer thru ethernet environment. Most of the problem is connecting the machine to printer because Mac using postscript to print thru network. It is good to use a PC to make a transaction between them. By using LDP method.. U can set any custom queue name for your any printer / plotter. Simply take a PC with MS window OS ( server is better ) & set a unique IP address ( make sure is is same subnet / lower to all Workstation). eg: 192.168.5.1 Setup all your printer by using IP address ( printer IP ). Under each printer.. specify a unique queue name. For eq: For printer HP5100TN, Set queue name as ABC So.. your new spooling location HP5100TN now under queue ABC at 192.168.5.1 For Your Mac, print jobs will be end at printserver. everything queue inside it and printserver will do all the rest. Make sure U set " start printing after spool is finished " for all printer. The other rest.. just follow my last post. I hope It give U an idea what is LPD print Server is. Currently I handle over 100 Mac, 40 PCs + 12 Various type of printers with thousand of print jobs each day and everything just work perfect. U can ask.. which part is confusing U???

Have you try other files? Or only happen to mentioned file ?? Never face this kind of problem before!!!!!!!!!!

Just create postsript file. U can't get perfect scale by using PDF ( cause by extra paper margin )

If You on VW 10. Simply use Layer link to manage your printing. You can do part print by using it.

Please alert before U change the drawing origin. It will confusing you when deal with VW script. The script GetPt, GetSegPt always refer to original origin ( as describe by Chris D ) The Unit/number at ruller bar did not show the real value. [ 05-06-2004, 12:32 AM: Message edited by: G-Pang ]
