I just found this thread when searching about the issue that I was having.. I was able to fix the problem by resetting the view so that I was in top view. I hope OP's issue has been resolved already, but just in case anyone else has this issue & finds this thread - try resetting your view!! 🙂

I am a new user to vectorworks and have run into an issue. I'm trying to add 2D plant symbols into a planting plan, and when I insert the plants, they show up without any of the details of the plant image. For instance, when I add a hydrangea, all I get is a green circle without the white balls that represent the flowers. I don't know why this is happening because other plants on the same layer are showing up without any issues, and I haven't had this issue in any other drawings I've worked on. TIA!
