  1. Just tried to render in FRW VW2008 a model done on VW 12.5.1 and it gave me the OUT OF MEMORY message and did not render!

I went back to VW12.5.1 and it rendered!

    What's up?!

VW 2008 can't handle what VW 12.5.1 could? Hope not, please advise.

    Thanks,

  2. Has anything changed in the way we should set up our drawings in VW 2008? Most improvements are in the interface, right?

getting ready to kick off a new project tomorrow, and haven't had time to dwell on this...

    thx

  3. islandmon:

can you expand on this... VW 2008 does not have italics for Arial Black? (can't check because I'm away from the office...) and if not, what options do we have?

    thanks, mon!

  4. I am trying to globally control transparency of furniture, image props, etc, so that I may tweak them in my rendered model. I've tried working classes and layers, but haven't been able to adjust opacity at all...

The idea is to have building read "full strength" and then have a few different layers or classes where I can have image props, furniture symbols, etc.

    What am I missing?

    thx

  5. Windows PIO does not "show wall lines" even after I tell it to:

inserted window in wall, then created symbol out of it and edited it (on PIO) to show wall lines, but they do not show. Also edited symbol insertion options to break wall full caps, but this doesn't work either...

any advise out there, or anyone with the same problem?

    thx

  6. Been on it for about a week (Architect 2008)and have regular crashes, freezes, blinking monitor, VERY slow responsees, etc, etc... also some quirky symbol transformations when I rotate plan.

Too many to go into detail, just want NNA to confirm they're aware of SEVERAL malfunctions and that they're on it.

    thx

  7. rendering in RW (final quality)2008 and cannot get my furniture to show up transparent.

have tried adjusting opacity of furniture symbols, and also creating a transparent class and putting symbols in it... but they render SOLID!

    any tips?

    thx

  8. YES, Katie, I used it constantly (VW 12.5.1)

as I said this was a great feature in the mouse, and allowed me to easily move through drawing with one hand mouse movements only, no cumbersome two handed manouvers required!

Please follow up and let me know how I get it back.

Thx panthony, that's a good tip, but is a coarse work-around since cannot adjust amount / speed of scrolling.

  9. pls review and reply side scrolling posting (copied below)

Got upgrade and the sideways scrolling feature of my sideways tilting scroll wheel(zooms in and out if I roll wheel, scrolls sideways if I tilt it)does not work. I have a Logitech laser mouse and the sideways scrolling is a great feature I use CONSTANTLY to move / pan my drawing.

I've downloaded latest drives from Logitech, I was told by phone tech that VW 2008 might not support this! Please let me know how to get this feature back since it plays a major role in my workflow.

    thx

  11. Thanks JAN15, I know about editing hatches, but not as much as you, will keep "units' tip in mind. Unfortunatelly the gyp bd detail hatch of the linear material tool does not show up in the resources, so I cannot edit it...
