  1. Thanks Mark Just had a go with this and it does the trick. Hopefully a 'copy with base point' option appears at some point as I used this all the time in AutoCAD. Cheers!
  2. Is there a way to copy an object from one drawing to another, whilst using a reference point from drawing 1, to then insert the object into drawing 2. In Autocad, it is referred to as copying with a basepoint. Does this exist anywhere in Vectorworks? Thanks, Ross
  3. Thanks a lot both! Easy when you know how isn't it 🙂 If only everything was so simple! Cheers, Ross
  4. Now this should be really simple so I must be doing something wrong! As per the attached image, I just want to draw a line between the top two corners of the objects. I can select the first corner fine but when I go to the corner on the next object, the line won't move off of the axis. So I can't get it to snap to the corner. Apologies for such a simple question but I just can't get it!!! Cheers, Ross
  5. Ok thanks Pat. Cheers for the feedback Ross
  6. Great thanks Pat that has done the trick; working how it should now 🙂 Out of interest can you adjust the intensity of classes that are locked/greyed or is it just a global setting? Thanks for your help Ross
  7. I'm trying to find where the level of visiblity of a locked layer (or class but mainly layer) can be controlled from. I'm new to Vectorworks but couldn't find any real guidance on this while searching for the answer. I've created a building outline on a layer and I'm now drawing on a new layer but the outline is bearly visible for me to use as a guilde, hence the need to adjust the visibility level. Any help appreciated. Thanks
