  1. Does anybody know where I can get a demo CD of VW 11 in the UK WITHOUT having to ask ComputersUnlimited for one? I've asked them twice now and they keep on telling me they're out of stock, but can't tell me when they'll get more in. Any help would be appreciated. -Jacques
  2. Kudos Peter and Katie! I will have a look tonight on my PBook. Will see if it all works on 10.5. Thanks, Jacques.
  3. Still here, Quickdraw to postscript explains the problem pretty well... So is VW still using the Quickdraw functions to draw information on the screen??? How OLD! Were on VW 11 now, how about using full Quartz? -JT
  4. Seems to be a bit outdated.... It still shows VW10 icon, not an updated VW11 icon. Jacques.
  5. Ah, thanks for those shortcuts...I'll add my 2p...You can also try Command+1 and Command +2. This will zoom in and out one step. HTH. -Jacques.
  6. Is it possible to create a polygonal wall shape...ie: the wall thickness varies along its length? Or maybe extrude a polygon and turn it into a wall? -Jacques.

It's cool....but cooler than Right Click? If only I had a five button mouse.... EvB, I have a Logitech optical scroll mouse with a middle button but could not for the life of me set the key combos you specified....Please could you explain how? Many thanks. -Jacques.
  8. Well, It seems to be a VW problem, not Apple etc... This does not happen in ArchiCAD 8 on OSX. If Vectorworks is a 'Vector' drawing/design package, why does it draw in 'pixels'? -Jacques. [ 03-20-2004, 10:57 AM: Message edited by: Jacques ]

  10. Mike, Well done! Nice work! -Jacques. edit: What machine did you render it on? [ 03-16-2004, 07:43 AM: Message edited by: Jacques ]
  11. The Apple key + 1 or Apple key + 2 zooms in and out. I have a Logitech 3 buttom scroll wheel optical mouse, but unfortunately the software only allows me to assign certain key combos, and none of them include the spacebar... Anyway, I'm sure NNA will include this feature some day, if not in the near future. -Jacques.
  12. Hugo, that should work OK. For what it's worth...When you save files in AutoCAD 2004 and you set the save format in preferences as ACad 2000, and try and open it in ACad 2000, it doesn't work...! AutoDesk made a bit of a bungle on that one! I would stick with Acad 2000 format. -Jacques.
  13. quote: Originally posted by jan15: There's already an excellent panning and zooming system, at least for people with two hands (what are you guys doing with your other hand while you draw, anyway?).. Use the right hand for mousework, and the left for keystrokes. The arrow keys are out of the way on the right...And the command + 1&2 keys are a hand stretch away. This all slows up the design process. Is it not possible to re-assign the spacebar & left mouse click to the middle button? My thoughts...It's not only AutoCAD that has them, ArchiCAD has these features and so does Microstation to some degree.
  14. I second that! Zoom in & out with wheel scroll...Pan when middle button is depressed. -JT
