  1. Edit: had to follow my advice again today, lol VectorWorksQL.qlgenerator is found in the root library, not user library "found within app" = right click vectorworks 2008.app, show package contents, goto library, quicklook, copy VectorWorksQL.qlgenerator, paste in root/library/quicklook folder and it is not necessary to restart
  2. My quicklook function dissappeared after trying out VW2011. When going back to 2008. Found 2011 version of VectorWorks.mdimporter at ~/Library/Quicklook folder. I dumped that and also copied the 2008 version as found within the app to this folder. It solved the problem after a restart...
  3. hear this: the following actions restored the dlvps to reappear - set vp to top view, set render option to opengl, update, set back to topplan, set back to wire frame - voila - wtf - happened second time - same procedure cured... Graphics card error? who knows
  4. sounds somewhat similar to my problem... see seperate topic, i quote it below: "I have several buildings referenced from separate drawings into one layout drawing. made copies of some of the layout vp;s into several positions on site Then i created a sheetlayer to show larger scale parts of this layout drawing. But now suddenly some of the buildings dissappear from the final layout. Have checked classes and layer settings everywhere... Any ideas. driving me crazy - deadline looming. btw i have recreated a similar viewport to the same sheet layer and then 4 of the 8 buildings reappeared on the original vp as well as on the new one, but not all of them... Erich"

  7. Same problem here. Tiger with 2008. Saving to windows 2003 server. SMB setting. Happens more than not. Forced to save to desktop. Working file saves, but VW2008 quits. File end up with no date info. All dates revert to 01-01-1970? Seems to recall one or two times when the same happened with a file saved on the desktop.
  8. Sorry, problem solved: Problem was: renamed folder to 12.5.1 while app open. Solution: Quit and reset to 12.5.0. Restarted. All working fine.
  9. After installation I cannot create a new file from .sta defaults. Message says "This is an unregocnized file... To old.." I also see a vectorscript message saying: "The 'IP Recourses file was not found". Any ideas. I upgraded from 12.5.0. into existing app file.
  10. I would also like to know the outcome to this matter, please.
