  1. Thanks, I'll try to see if I can figure it out that way!
  2. I currently have a problem plotting only one sheet in a drawing file. It shows the full sheet on the screen but when it plots, only a quarter plots before it spits the sheet out. I've tried creating another layer with the same information but it still does the same thing. Three of the viewports have scanned images in them. Could this be the source of the problem (memory issues?)? I'm working with Version 11 and my plotter is an HP 11oplus. Thanks for your help! [ 08-18-2005, 07:59 PM: Message edited by: sfatelier ]
  3. For some reason, when I dimension an object, the leader lines started disappearing when I finished the command. What would cause this to happen? I tried changing the visibilities for all the classes and layers and still no luck. Thank you!
  4. I created exterior elevations using the model view commands and now want to put them on a sheet. Everytime I create a viewport from a rectangular crop the viewport appears on the designated sheet but it's empty. I've tried changing the attributes but to no avail. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dean
  5. HI there, Thanks for the reply. I did add another layer and tried the same thing and the roof layer was still omitted from the list. I tried checking visibilities and everything was fine. The only reason I can think of because of the prompt is that the roof layer contains layerlink objects. I can't find out what layerlink objects are to remove them. Also, when I try to convert copy to lines, it doesn't break up the drawing...even after I ungroup the selection. I must be doing something basically wrong. Dean
  6. Hi, Yes it was helpful. Thank you very much. Dean
  7. When I view a wall with windows in the 3-d model view, some windows just show the sill while others display just fine. I checked the object info palette and everything seems to be in order, e.g. height, width, elevation, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dean
  8. I am trying to create an exterior elevation. When I try to link layers to be visible, the roof layer is missing from the list. The pop up says that layers with active linked objects won't be listed. How do I delete them from the desired layers so I can link them into the model elevation view? Thanks! Dean

  10. I have trouble inserting a couple of plug in objects, specifically some w/c's. I activate them, insert the dotted image into the drawing and when I double click to finalize, all I get are four dots indicating the location of the object. When I return to 2d selection, it disappears. It's strange that only some of these act this way in the browser. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  11. I can't seem to change the dimension text size and/or font. Can anyone clue me in on how to do this. The default size is way too small. Thanks! Dean
  12. How do apply textures to a 2D project?
  13. Dear Jan15 I understand the geometry. I don't care about the scale of the border...only what is inside. Is there anyway to adjust the scale of the border only? That way, the entire border can fit on the 11x17 sheet. In Autocad I can do that. The border and the drawing in model space are independent. I don't seem to be able to modify the condoc border in anyway. Thanks!
  14. Thanks Peter! It seems like it should be easy. In AutoCad, this is not a problem. Something for Vectorworks to improve on eh?

It's just what works. Of course that means that you have to put a big "DO NOT SCALE" sign on the prints, just to make sure no one make that mistake... If you want 50% reductions you'll need to use 12 x 18 paper, which for some reason is (seemingly) impossible to get to work. For me it is because my plotter driver does not play well with that size. Go figure! Peter Cipes

  17. For some reason my printer will only print in grey tones for the drawing itself with the borders in full black. Any explanation and solutions? Thanks!
  18. Is it possible to reduce the scale of a Condoc D size border to fit on an 11x17 sheet? Reducing by 50% leaves the border too large to fit. I tried scaling the border only but then everything in model space reduces as well.
  19. How do I elevate interior walls from room to room? [ 02-02-2004, 06:12 PM: Message edited by: sfatelier ]
