I know that that x-ray mode exists but if I have an object and a line and that line is inside the object's line, then I can't sellect the line. Vectorworks only will select the object, even if i click multiple times on that line. Therefore I can't select the line even in x-ray mode. Is there an option to make this possible? Other people in youtube tutorials don't have the same problem as me and can select everything without a problem but I can't.

I'm new to vectorworks and I'm watching a tutorial but in the tutorial the person just hovers around a face of a block and it will select that face while I need to use 'set working plane' on a face of the block or otherwise it will not work correctly and will make chances to a other face. video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUHUYdYOtTE As you can see in 13:18 he said to highlight the correct face and I can not do that and must use 'set working plane'. How do I enable this highlight feature?
