  1. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do a Rack shelf in Rack elevations. We need to show it so that the installers know and nothing we do makes a shape that makes sense. Any suggestions?
  2. I had the exact same issue. We always do our line-drawings at 1:1 scale with 1/4" grid and this issue was driving me crazy. In the end I discovered that I had to scale down my header blocks 63% in order for it to come out at the correct 2" wide size when on the page. A real pain. For anyone dealing with this. If you make a box 1.26" wide it will show up as 2" wide when added to your drawings. .158" for a 1/4" spacing vertically
  3. We use a number of Custom header symbols in our drawings. This is an example of our generic: Because I built this one on the original it still shows up in 2021 but none of the others show up as options even though they are still in the folder: I tried recreating the "red" one from the generic to see if it was an issue with the old symbols but it still doesn't show up. Any suggestions? Rob Sherman
  4. @Conrad Preen The text is relatively similar to what ConnectCAD provides. For example, the top listed off page reference shows PriDante-RJ45 which is the port name, AV21-401 which is the page name, and DSP-SlotA which is the device name. In this case that is the A slot of a modular DSP. In general we like the squared shape for off page references over the oval CC uses because the rectangles perfectly stack and create a very clean looking area when you have lots of off page references in one spot. Our standard is that pages should reference only one room so that installers aren't hunting around to find which sheet their equipment is on. This leads to lots of off page references. In the case of something like a Rack Room network hub you will often have entire switches that will be completely off page referenced out to the various rooms throughout the building that those lines run to.
  5. It's great to hear about the change in 2021. We haven't migrated yet but I look forward to playing with it. Our solution was to edit the signal list to include all the signals we use in our standard with both a regular and POE version for network signals. DANTEP, DANTES, DANTEPP(DANTE PRIMARY POE), ETC. In the classes I then set our standard colors and a dashed for POE. For existing lines we are just changing the cable type to say "EXISTING", instead of doing a dotted line. Rob
  6. Thank you @Nikolay Zhelyazkov. I actually less interested in specific font or color. What I am interested in is changing the order that the text shows up in as well as change the shape of the oval around the info to a rectangle. Is that hard coded?
  7. I know that it is possible to change the style of the device lable, connector text, etc.. I'm wondering if it is possible to change the formatting of the arrow tag to something more in line with our current standard? NOTE: I did this in a test file so it doesn't show my updated device labeling but we are good there.
  8. I am wondering if it is possible to change individual connection lines to different line types.(I.E.: Solid, dashed, dotted) My company works predominately in installations and we have to deal with a mixture of existing wiring, client provided cables and bulk cable that has ends added. We use line types to let the install team know what is existing/provided versus what we will be adding. Our existing standard has been: I see that I can differentiate linetype and color by signal type but when I try and do individual cables it doesn't work. Is there a way to do this? Thank you
