  1. Ideal person will work freelance from September 2023-April 2024. Small shop in central Pennsylvania seeks someone experienced in Vectorworks, CAD & GNSS to create grading plans and construction drawings for stormwater improvement project. Experience working with importing AutoCAD Civil 3D files, geolocation, site models, and GNSS survey methods essential. We greatly prefer you to have green infrastructure, BMP and stormwater management knowledge. Position will involve working with designers and engineers. We prefer someone who can work in the office in central Pennsylvania as needed, but are open to remote work. (Camp Hill/Harrisburg area). Please contact Toni Pogue at tpogue@landlogicsgroup.com and send 1) a letter of interest including years of experience & hourly rate required and 2) 1-2 work examples of site models.
  2. @jeff prince Thanks, this worked great for the topo! Unfortunately all of the roads, buildings, etc are on the zero elevation now. Please let me know if there's an easy fix -- if not I may need to work on this in ACAD (meh). And thanks for the tip about scaling. I can't tell you how many times I've forgotten that...
  3. Hi, I've had to import an Autocad Civil 3d file for the first time. I managed to get most of it imported successfully, but none of the topo lines are showing elevations in the Object Info palette. I see the elevations when I open the file in Autocad LT. Two questions: Is there a way to import the elevations? If not, I can enter them manually (ugh), but I don't see any way to do that when I select a topo line. Any suggestions? I've attached the drawing in case that helps. Also, I'm a pretty basic user -- I mostly do 2D landscape plans so I may need some basic explanation! Thanks, Toni ACAD2018-XR-Survey-Model.dwg
  4. Are data tags housed within a class or layer? Once I place, them, I can't hide them (I need a color rendering without tags, and a blueprint version with tags). I thought it was housed in Plants>Components>Tags, but this doesn't seem to show/hide the tags. Any suggestions on how to show/hide?
  5. Is there a way to apply a tick mark of a consistent size to all the plants in a design at once, like how you can use the Data Tag feature? I've had no luck searching for this in the forum, apologies if it's a repeat. Thanks in advance.
  6. Strangely that didn't change anything. I assigned the tags to the Dimension class and that worked. Thank you bgoff!
  7. I have two plant tags in my design with a gray background. All tags have the same style applied and belong to the same class. I can't even find a place to change the tag background in Text Format. Any ideas? Many thanks!
  8. Pat, thank you so much! #1 did not affect the outcome -- the file just readjusted itself -- but #2 worked perfectly. Toni
  9. I've never used a STEP file before. Imported my first one this morning and the Top/Plan view gives me a front elevation view. Is there a way to reset the axes? Screenshot of Top/Plan view attached, I am unable to attach a .STEP file to this forum. I am a new Vectorworks user and don't know where to start.
  10. I have the exact same question. Did you ever get a reply?
