  1. Is it possible to use a convert a 3D section viewpoint to a 2D drawing so that it can be modified using 2D drawing tools? I am trying to add roof trusses to building sections for construction drawings and cannot do it.
  2. I had two project files open in Vectorworks 24. In each of them the References tab was present on the screen. I switched from one file to another and the Reference tab was no longer present. I opened the window/palattes menu and saw that References was checked. I then unchecked it and then rechecked it. Nothing happened and the tab is still not present on the screen. The tab had also disappeared from the other project files and I could not restore it on either of them. I tried closing and reopening Vectorworks but the tab was still not visible. Do you have any suggestions for solving the problem?
  3. I just tried exporting a sheet with elevations that were created from a model using the Create Multiple Viewports command. I used the method Export Veiwpoints as 2D Graphic in Model Space. In the first attempt to import the file into a blank document I got the drawings and labels but the lines of the drawings were so heavy that the drawings details were obscured. I tried again and changed the lines to 1/8" and the result was better. The problem is that the drawings were symbols and could not be altered. I then used the Convert to Lines command and can now alter the drawings. Is there an easier way to export and import drawings so that workable files can be used by consultants and then imported with changes?
  4. Thank you, Peter, for the quick answer. I tried your method and it worked. Is there any was to save a file so that it can be opened directly from a CD?
  5. I copied my files to a CD but am unable to open them. I get the following error message: -61 No Write Permission Attempt To Open File - FSOPEN I don't know what this means. Does anyone know what I should do next?
