  1. Yes, some of the symbols are from an older version. I'm also downloading and inserting new symbols from the library in VW 23 , but still the same problem. I refreshed the library as well. The frame size comes as standard in mm, but nothing is shown in symbol maintenance and if I change it nothing happens and the frame size returns blank. The only way I can change the frame size ( individually) is under Edit lighting device.
  2. Hi Tom, sorry I did not see your reply. I attached a test file with few fixtures and sheet layer called test with an instrument summary. I'm still not able to modify the frame size as I used to do it. Thank you very much. Test_frame.vwx
  3. Hello, I'm having a problem with the symbol maintenance on VW 23. I'm struggling to change to frame size of the symbol. I type what I want , save but when I open the maintenance window nothing has changed. The colour summary is also showing the symbol type instead of the frame size for some of the units. I tested the same file on VW 21 and it works fine. Is there anyone having a similar issue? Many thanks, Salvatore.
  4. I've tried different trusses and the only way to make sure the instrument is hanging correctly in 3d is to move the insertion point until I can match the correct hanging position in 3d - For example a Tomcat triangular truss needed only an adjustment on Z to allow the instrument to hang correctly on the bottom cord, but other trusses needed more adjustments and the insertion point that I see in edit mode does not match with the real insertion point. In most of the cases the insertion point is at the boom centre of the truss (looking from side left or right view) and to match one of the cord of the truss it needs to be shift left or right until the clamp match the cord. I hope this makes sense. Is this normal? Or is there a problem with the symbols? I don't have any problem with lighting pipes. I'm using VW 2020. I've also attached a screenshot. Many thanks, Sal.
  5. I have noticed the Z option where I can rotate the C-clamp and it works. However my problem is slightly different- where I hang a fixture in 2d top plan following the red rhombus snapping position, which assume it should give a guide to where to hang an instrument, I then notice that in 3d view the C-clamp (with the fixture) is not hanging on the truss or pipe, but at the bottom, top or inside. I can actually see the I have problem mainly with trusses as with pipes seems to be working following the red rhombus guide. So I was wondering if there is an option to facilitate the hanging of the instruments to make sure they match in both 2d and 3d. Obviously I can adjust the instrument in 3d, but it's a bit annoying as I usually position most of the lights in 2d view.
  6. Hello! When I'm hanging a lighting instrument in 2D E.g. on a pipe or truss , I can see that in 3d view the the C-clamp does not hang properly around the tube of the pipe/truss, (especially with truss - a bit less with lighting pipes). Is there an option to make sure that when I'm hanging a lighting instrument in 2d top plan , it's also hanging correctly in 3d? Many thanks, Sal.
  7. Sorry...actually I saw that. Thanks!
  8. Thank you again Mark. I opened the file you sent me and it seems to be blank. Anyway I understood your suggestion.
  9. Thank you very much Mark. I followed your instructions and I managed to create the pop-up menu where I can select few types of frost from a list plus I have the blank choice. However how the Colour Summary can recognise this as a colour that needs to be included in the count?
  10. Hello, I would like to add a diffuser gel (e.g. R119) to a symbol which already has a colour information and to do that I'll type for example L201 + R119. Is there a way to have these 2 gels listed separately in the colour summary instead of having both on the same line with the cut size details? I've tried to create a new parameter called colour 2 and add it to the legend, but the colour summary does not recognise this new parameter. I've also played with user filed, but no luck. Thank you very much for your help! Sal.
