Oke that works... but: The device name or tag is connected to the room function. What means I need to add all my devices two times in my engineering. One time in the layout layer and one time in de schematic layer? Is that the case? Or is there a more efficient way to do this? Can I pull the devices from the schematic layer to the layout layer? I prefer to have my schematic leading. So it would helpfull if I can draw the room in my schematic, is that also an option? I'am now working on a project with more than 2500 items spreaded out over 63 venues , so some efficiency is helpfull 😉

Ok i'm going to play around a bit with it. But to be honest at this point I don't see any improvements instead of the way I did it until now, with a device named e.g. DIN-PWR. In this setup the wire level is not specified. What you also mentioned, at this moment I make separate drawings for wire level. Or add an Excel with it. TNX for now!

Hi Conrad, Can you explain the idea behind the DIN rail terminal tool. I don't understand the "Group" "Panel" and "Port" system. Never the less, overall we are working on cable level in Connectcad, and in the DIN rail terminal tool, we are on single wire level (I assume). How to manage this difference. Thanks! KR, Frans Jan

Hi Conrad, Can you explain how the "Room" function works? I suppose you can add devices to a room or venue automatically, but its not the case during my tests. I'm also not able to assign a device to a room manually in the object info pallet.

I have some problems with the "new"device builder and my old <2019 library. In the old device builder, you had the option to set units for size. This results in a difference between my old library and the new created devices. How to fix this?
