  1. I'm having the same problem, except rechecking the "solid" fill box did not change anything. Mark
  2. I've been having the same issue. Hidden line rendering just not working, instead acts like wireframe. Been using Vwx 25 years, all the objects have solid fills. Mark
  3. I'm using Monterey and have the M1 Max chip. I wonder if either of those are part of the problem.
  4. Is there a way to get data visualization to recognize individual items inside a symbol? It seems to react unpredictably. Sometimes, an item with a specified class that is inside a symbol seems to be ignored by the data visualization setting. Other times, the color chosen works, but the transparency setting does not. 5. Vectorworks 2022, SP2 has been very slow and buggy for me. I have a MacBook Pro M1 Max with 32g RAM, so I am frustrated. I have been using VW since it was a young MiniCAD and have been getting very frustrated with new bells and whistles with great promise that don't seem ready for primetime. Instead of fixing existing issues, with each update, more half-baked gadgets are introduced. I'm getting pretty disillusioned with VW. Mark Kennedy Exhibit Designer
  6. Thanks, I'll try that. Btw, the cabinets are not an issue, because they are intentionally without a fill. The trees are the issue. Some of the branches are groups inside of symbols. Mark
  7. @Tom W. This problem happens in VPs, also. The files were created before vwx 2022 by people in my company–perhaps in 2020. However, I did not have this problem until vwx 2022 SP2. I attached some screenshots. The first is hidden line. Second has the background render as shaded and foreground as hidden line. the third is Renderworks Colors White.
  8. I have 2022 with SP2, and hidden line is not working consistently. It doe not have to do with the attribute settings. I have checked that, but that is not the problem. The objects are appearing solid using most other render modes, including Shaded, Dashed Hidden Line, Final Quality RW, even Artistic RW.... However, not Hidden Line or Polygons with Lines. While I am actively using the Flyover Tool the hidden line rendering looks correct, but when I am no longer 'Flying Over,' and it renders, some items are rendered correctly, while others are missing lines, so as to appear inside-out. It's definitely a glitch of some sort. (Fyi, I have been using vwx for almost 25 years)

  10. I checked for that first thing, but was not the issue.
  11. I'm having similar bugginess in 2022 with regards to selecting objects. It's kind of random. "Select all" won't work in design layers, but will work in sheet layers. Sometimes I can't select something at all, unless I choose "force select."
  12. Hello, I am using the trial version of 2022 design suite, and when I render in Hidden Line, some extrusions render like a messed up wireframe (top horizontals invisible, other parts like wireframe). If I create the shape as a solid, it renders fine. Other extrusions render fine. What's up?
  13. https://forum.vectorworks.net/index.php?/profile/16986-marissa-farrell/ Hi Melissa, I was wondering if it is possible to do what I describe above in Marionette. Mark
  14. At the minimum, there should be a way to search, like can be done for Classes. The functionality is so lame as to feel abusive. Mark
  15. Hello Marissa,

I am trying to create parametric extruded object. The tutorials I found are way to primative to be useful. I need to be able to take a simple 2d profile (think moulding) and extrude it base on the particular need. I work at a museum and we have simple metal rails of different lengths, but all the same profile.  I link text and records in order to create a schedule of our inventory.

  16. Anyone else have this issue? While zooming or panning in a sheet layer, I can see a whole lot of objects from my design layers. It's incredibly distracting.
  17. @Jesse Cogswell Thank you for your help. My problem is not getting columns to subtract each other, but when I SUMmarize subrows and then try to subtract those sums from another cell in a different row. The cells that aren't summarized calculate just fine.
  18. @Pat Stanford Got it. Well, that's a stinker. Kind of seems lame, to me. It dramatically reduces the value of worksheets form me. I don't suppose that was changed in 2021? We're scheduled to get it some day (soon, I hope). Thanks again, Mark
  19. @Pat Stanford Thank you Pat, but I'm afraid I don't see a link to the thread.
  20. @Pat Stanford Would something like this work? Maybe not. My attempt (below) failed.
  21. @Jesse Cogswell It was set to integer. I changed it to number, but it didn't work
  22. @Jesse Cogswell I inserted that formula and it failed.
  23. I am also wondering why, when I try to format the thumbnails to justify to the left, I get this:
