  1. 1. I want to be able to continue working while Renderworks is rendering. 2. I want to be able to cancel a render in progress quickly. This includes render for printing.
  2. I noticed that a workgroup reference cannot be an alias to a vectorworks file. This should be possible. Do it.
  3. NO! This is exactly the worst thing for anyone trying to switch to Vectorworks. Firstly, Vectorworks is not AutoCAD; it is impossible to mimic the interface exactly, so users end up frustrated anyway. Secondly, why imitate a lousy interface, and introduce inefficient ways of working in Vectorworks? Users should learn and use the best way to accomplish each task. quote: but what about implementing a function which enables VW to reconfigure it's interface so it exactly clones/mimicks those of competing CAD products? i.e. AutoCAD...I have a number of classmates who dislike AutoCAD and it might be easier for them to make the switch if VW could resemble AutoCAD initially and help them to make the transition...
  4. I am using VW 10.2.1 on a Mac. I have lost saved sheets and hatches on a few occasions while working on a drawing. The lost resources continue to appear in lists and resources window but cannot be used. I cannot yet deduce the trigger. Anyone encountered this before? Any ideas? Did vectorworks ever have a tool that verifies, cleans up, recovers drawing files. It ought to. Jason Koh
  5. I must agree with Mark. Users have a right to expect that text appears the same during editing, on screen and in print, whatever the viewing scale happens to be.
  6. This has been bugging me since version 8. When using duplicate array, there is a choice of typing the offset or "next mouse click". IMHO the next mouse click option is practically useless because it is measured from the center of the selection. The correct method is to have the user input a vector using the mouse. There should also be an option to use polar coordinates.
  7. The drawing size rectangle should be selectable and snappable like any other object.
