Thanks for your feedback Zoomer !  I am just trying to find a 1 to 2 year stopgap solution until apple finally comes out with the modular mac pro.  If anyone else is using a pumped up 2012 Mac Pro with VW 2018 then I would appreciate them chiming in.

The Mac Pro 5.1 is from 2012 and has Xeon processors not the more recent i5 and i7 processors.  So I was hoping to find out if anyone is still using one for VW2018.  Thanks for responding though.

Is anyone running VW Architect 2018 Vectorworks on a 6 or 12 core Mac Pro 5.1 with 4GB graphics card?  I am single-family residential architect that primarily draws in 2D, however I am looking to do more 3D rendering mostly for kitchen design. I am currently using VW 2017 on my 2008 Mac Pro 2 x2.8 Quad Core and it works fine for 2D drawings.  I am not a big fan of the iMac (graphics card overheating, difficult to fix) as I prefer a computer that I can tinker with and upgrade on my own.   Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

How do you change the sash operation text in the standard VW window schedule to UPPER CASE text?

[Some walls greyed in viewport are printing black]

For some reason some walls that appear grey in a viewport are printing black. I have a "new walls" class and an "existing walls" class and only the "new walls" are printing black. I have tried virtually everything but cannot seem to figure out why. Anyone else having this problem?

Is there a way to do it without using pen colors? I typically print in black and white only and was hoping I could grey the hatches by class.

Is it possible to grey a hatch? I want to have the hatch "brick-running bond" show up as greyed for an existing chimney but when I change its class to grey the hatching disappears.

[Wall Pattern Disappearing]

For some reason the pattern for some of the unstyled walls disappears on the screen. The pattern for the wall still shows up in the attribute pallete and when I go to move the wall the pattern appears, then disappears when I join the wall with another wall. I am running 2008 and Mac OS 10.4.11.

The issue is that when I try to use smart points to locate a new wall I hit "G" to activate, hit tab and then the data bar shows "L" as the first input. I tab over to "X" and input a value but when I go to place the wall I don't get a dashed line and hence smart points is not activated.

Hi Katie,

The settings that are checked for the floating data bar are the top line of each section which I assume is the standard configuration. Note that the smart points will work with the line tool but not with the wall tool.

Hi All,

I am having the same issue with smart points. It works with the line tool but not with the wall tool. When trying to use smart points with the wall tool selected, the floating display will pop up with "L" as the first input item compared to "X" when smart points is working properly. I tried quiting, closing, etc. without any luck.

One of my door ID bubbles shows the number upside down (see attached file) with the "D" right side up. Anyone have any suggestions? This ID is for a hinged door created usng the standard door tool. Thanks!
