  1. I teach Vectorworks at a college in the UK and i'm having real trouble getting the IT department to update Vectorworks with the latest service packs. This means that the students user experience may be compromised due to bugs etc. i'd like the updates to happen but they say they can't support this due to a total lack of support and useful information from Vectorworks about how to perform this over a managed network. I guess what they want is a way to be able to click install and for the network management software to globally update all installations without them having to physically watch each install - logical i guess. But. is this possible. No ones seems to give a clear answer. After a recent conversation with Vectorworks they were offered version 2023 but this wasn't helpful since it does not resolve the issue of how to keep the software up-to-date with service packs. Am i asking too much other institutions much have this problem how do they manage it. Is there a solution?
  2. Question - although I can see how one can identify components on a worksheet for the main area of a hardscape for example 'component name(1) ' 'component name(2) ' for example. I can't see a way to separate the main hardscape from the border component settings. It might be useful to calculate the area width and component volumes for the border independently but this does not seem to be possible. Does anyone know how this can be done ?
