    I hate to make this problem sound simplistic, but I have found that if you simply close the file and re-open it, it prints fine as long as you don't edit it in any way before you plot the image. I am using Vectorworks 9.5 on XP Pro at work and this has worked every time. Let me know if this works on other systems and versions.
