  1. Blueprint was a really fast program on earlier power pc machines... I think the idea of VW viewer is excelent for the persons and companies that offers printing services. But they need a LT or LC (low cost) version of VW, for other services. New profesionals need it too. What are you waiting, NNA? [ 07-21-2004, 11:09 PM: Message edited by: RHF ]
  2. Only you have to make the operations in a 3d view. Remenber that roofs are hybrids. NOT TOP PLAN, that's the solution. [ 07-17-2004, 09:24 PM: Message edited by: RHF ]
  3. The video card only speed up the open GL render. The raytrace (final quality renderworks) depends on the processor.
  4. PLEASE INTERACTIVE SECTIONS THAT USES CLASSES ATTRIBUTES. PLEASE. OVER ALL 3D OBJECTS REAL WORKGROUPS. LIKE BOA CAD. LIKE ARCHICAD. IF VECTOR GET THAT, IT IS ON THE WAY OF BECOME THE BEST BIM APPLICATION.
  5. 1. On nurbs surfaces when using the create contours tool i want to obtain more clean nurbs curves. 2. On extrude along path an option to define the object resolution. Maybe in that way we can get more accurate conversions. 3. More exactitude on cut 2d sections or convert to lines. Maybe we can get real polylines to define a curve. All this reinfoced by a better tessellation. 4. Faster nurbs calculations. 5. And OVER ALL: MORE EXACTITUDE, VISULA AND INTERNAL.
  6. 1. Convert any symbol to gruop. 2. Ungroup any group 3. Divide your model by layer. (best if you catalog the layers by textures or material) 4. Put all yor layers Delta z =0, on layers setup. 5. All of your layers must be at top plan. 6. Put our layers "Show others, or show snap oher". No invisble layers. 7. Export DXF/DWG. Using dwg in any version. I prefer version 14. Use text. 8. On export window: Export layers as dxf layers. Select triangulate to preserve 3d fills. Decompose 3d objects. Export all 3d. Don'select 2d options. 9. Open it on strata 3d. 10. You'll see your model catalogued by layers. Note: 3d conversion resolution on preferences it's important. More resolution more quality and more memory.
  7. Then you can export and image file, and it works too. RHF
  8. You can make a convert copy to lines, with the render yo deserve, and then render with final quality renderworks, and that it is. Good Luck again. RHF
  9. I think the same way. Maybe not only cavities on walls. It will better if can retain all atribute of any 3d shape. I think that option will make vector the best cad around.
  10. I think that happens because the first file it's the only that got all the information. When you export again it rewrites only the information that has been changed. Maybe you can export a new archive with a new name, and in a different location. Maybe you'll have to restart. I ran into problems because of that. I don't understand well what it's the matter with the archives, but they appear to have some link.
  11. First thanks for your answers. The problem really appears when the loft it's made from three nurbs curves, not two. I do not use offset tool. Another thing it's that in version 10.1.2 the shell tool was faster, with the same numbers of nurbs curves generating the loft.
  12. Shell tool take to much time on lofts. Does anyone have that problem? RHF IMAC G4 800mhz 768 MB Ram OS X 10.2.6
  13. Try inverting (most use patterns) the colors, in the foreground color use a no white color, in the background use white. Generally i use diferent density of patterns whit this combinations. Maybe it can work for you.
