  1. You can use the eyedropper tool: 1. Use Plug in parameters. 2. Use Pick up sets defaults. You can download the plug in parameters to other doors, too. Click over with the put down attributes mode. It is valid for every object with parameters.
  2. Regarding Apple, Bim, Ghery Tech, and Nemetschek. From Architosh: http://www.architosh.com/news/2008-07/0707_apple_bim_opportunity.html http://www.architosh.com/news/2008-07/0707_apple-gehry-tech.html
  3. I see some alignement from those firms that eventually will disbalance the market from it's current state. Maybe the only thing that they are not considering is Apple and the fact that their strongest competition, "Vectorworks" + "Archicad"+"Maxon", relies on Apple platform. The only software they actually produce for the Mac is Maya. Another fact is the implementation of IFC. ?Will it bring it's fruits in the medium term, with two big softwares developers defining the ways of the interoperatibily between a vast group of users?
  4. These people are playing rough: http://aecnews.com/articles/3658.aspx
  5. Use the layer transfer mode, it's in place of the opacity on the design layer edit. Tray overlay or the others...to see wich one fit's your needs
  6. Excellent DWorks!! Thanks for this contribution to the VW's comunity!
  7. Maybe multiple palettes of the same kind. Like the project or object manager in other 3d softwares.
  8. Support for pdf layers via object info will be apreciated, too!!
  9. For chamfer, fillet, extract...etc.
  10. I hope VW do it...specially for sections vp. http://www.architosh.com/news/2008-06/0616_archicad_12_fastest_b.html
  11. I remember something like that on os 9, some kind of extensions for microsoft office.
  12. An OS contribution, or more experience from NNA, since VW (formerly MiniCAD) was born on the Mac.
  13. Only one thing: mac users rarely want to use windows. Is Os preference the defacto problem. I presonally prefer VW on Macs, it feels different: more stable, smother and with better interface (an Os contribution).
  14. Many of us have QuickLook preview in our fruit. Maybe we can have the Os X spelling, witch it's very, very good.
  15. I think the 3d pdf is another thing. You can cut your model, measure, change renders, rotate...and is a 3d container. Look what's new ---> 3d features. http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatproextended/
  16. 46. Faster hidden line rendering & faster section process. Maybe with multiple cores support. 47. Components within the wall style could handle different heights and lengths in different walls. 48. Wall with solid operations maintain it's wall condition after the solid operation. 49. A more graphical object info. Can handle information of objects inside a model structure. For example extrude along path can show the profile on the object info. 50. Symbols that functions like basis for modeling operations. Symbols that support modeling operations. For example: extrudes from a symbol. If i change the symbol it changes the extrudes that uses the symbol as basis. 51. Object info: individual resolution control of any object. (2d & 3d conversion resolution for individual objects). This resolution must be a number!!!
  17. Maybe it has to be something like cut and paste between classes, like textures channels in others 3d aplications.
  18. I think it's already in the eyedropper tool. Look for this in the eyedropper preferences:
  19. Idem is "the same", it's from Latin. Sig Eigei corroborates what Luis Bohm wrote. Idem for me.
  20. I support this!!! VectorWorks iPhone Viewer: this is one of those things that make a difference in the market. Let's go NNA!!
  21. Wao, this is getting fun!! Another one: 46. Consolidate some tools: like 2d reshape and 3d reshape. I think only one reshape tool can do both. And so on with others tools, like the connect and wall join tools. The fillet and chamfer tools, the trim tool and the split tools...
